About this deal

I have both a babasling and an ergo carrier. I've also had a baby bjion which I hated as it put too much pressure on my shoulders and my baby never looked comfortable in it and a bush baby front carrier as well. But that one broke Also I got my ergo from a local independent nursery shop as they didn't mind us trying the slings on and trying them out with my little one in. I think we where in there for a good few hours trying them all on. unlike our local big name nursery chain store who wouldn't even let us take them out of the box. For outdoors, consider a canopy to help protect your baby's head from the sun. Some carriers also come with sleep hoods. Both of these will add bulk, but are handy extra features. 4. Ease of use A lightweight sling can weigh as little as 400g (equivalent to a small bag of sugar), while a structured baby carrier can be a lot heavier, as well as being big and bulky to carry around. 3. Bulk

You can start using a baby carrier or sling from birth. Your baby sits there safely, securely in the ergonomic spread-squat position recommended by doctors. When to use a baby carrier? You can use a newborn carrier while your baby is a newborn up until they’re 1 year old. Some parents continue using a carrier to tote around their toddler. The Features You Want and NeedLook at the label. On a fake, the label is usually only in one or two languages, but on a real one there will be three to five languages. Also, look out for misspellings in the text. Body positioning: It's important that the baby's spine is supported adequately and that their legs aren't dangling: the baby's knees should be propped up higher than their bum and slightly bent (known as the 'M', 'squat' or 'frog' position).

For those who don't feel confident in working out how to carry a baby in a wrap, a more structured carrier might be a better option. There is currently no legal requirement for a sling or baby carrier to meet the British safety standards for construction and testing of baby carriers. Big brands undertake this testing to make sure their products meet the standards, but counterfeit carriers don't, which leaves you and your baby vulnerable. DD is growing out of her carrycot now and I loath putting her in the pushchair as I dont feel comfortable her facing outwards away from me, I just dont like not being able to see her. Buying another pram/pushchair is out of the question as they are so expensive! So really want a sling for short trips outside and whilst around the house as she is a very clingy baby. With Ergobaby baby carriers and slings, you'll always have your little one with you, right from birth. This way, your baby is warm and safe, and best of all, your hands are free, which not only adds a whole new level of convenience to your day but also the interaction with the bigger sibling is so much easier to reconcile. Why? Your little one is always with you. They can smell your scent, feel your warm skin and your heartbeat. Babywearing Is Love! Which baby carrier is the best? - Carriers for: Newborns, babies and toddlers The ergo is diffenatly my favourite. I can easily put it on by myself and can use it for both my little ones who are 9 months and 2 1/2 years. A friend also has one that he still uses for her 3 year old. I've also got the fleecy cover to keep the little one warm and the infant insert for when my little one was smaller.Ultimately, choosing between a baby carrier and sling will depend on you and your baby's needs, as well as their age and size.

Every phase of life is accompanied by you gently. Baby carriers and Baby slings are the best, most natural and healthiest way to give your little one what they need to grow and develop. But which Ergobaby baby carrier is the right one for which development phase? Advantage of baby carriers: all babies need physical touch, warmth and movementNothing in the whole parent life is as exciting as the upcoming birth and the first weeks with this tender little person that suddenly becomes part of the family.

This may be around four months old, but could be much later, especially if your baby was premature or has low muscle tone. Follow the manufacturer's instructions – some may only recommend this position from five months or older, or they may suggest that you only put your baby in this position for limited periods of time. Cradle position Many slings and carriers are designed to be used with newborns. You may have to put a special insert into the carrier, which helps to raise your newborn higher on your chest. The top of your newborn's head should be close enough to kiss.Your toddler is already discovering the new world with their own two legs from the safety and comfort of your body. Which Ergobaby baby carrier suits me and my child? Front baby carriers can be used from birth as long as your baby meets the minimum weight requirement, and most go up to 35lb (16kg), which is around three or four years. You can see eye-to-eye with baby, which is great for bonding, and breastfeed more discreetly. They're also useful if your baby needs to be kept upright after feeding, or doesn’t want to be put down. This carrier for newborns is made of very soft jersey fabric, which is certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is available in beautiful shades. Embrace Soft Air Mesh - fresh vitality
