About this deal

Rourke is significantly better off financially than Violet. There’s open discussion about their economic disparity and Rourke does not use it as a way to control her.

I liked it. Somehow Nascosta got the pandemic in a book without it overwhelming the story or making me feel like I wanted to hide. Seriously, I read to escape the pandemic so I was pleasantly surprised to see this book have the pandemic, along with some of the emotions of being pulled out of life, in this book and it was well done. My biggest problem was there wasn’t much of a plot other than following around Grace… and her character has no depth other than being super/rabid horny all the time. So, I’m beginning to think that I’m not the biggest fan of this authors writing style. The pacing is weird, the mcs didn’t even meet until like 40% into the book, and the plot focal points were just not doing it for me. When we do finally get to the sexy times (which is why we are here after all, it’s called Monster Bait for a reason) it is very interesting, imaginative, descriptive and hot. The dynamic between the couple was cute and I liked both of them. And, their HEA could’ve been more detailed. I don’t recall them SAYING they love each other… but it’s implied. She was too horny to think rationally and was about to make a miscalculation in judgment born of imprudent arousal and nothing more When a stern, deep-voiced client begins to specially request her for his milking sessions, maintaining her professionalism and keeping him out of her dreams is easier said than done. Violet is resolved to make a dent in her student loans and afford name-brand orange juice, and a one-sided crush on an out-of-her-league minotaur is not a part of her plan—unless her feelings aren’t so one-sided after all.

I wanna live in Cambric Creek because these characters need a stern talking to to get this relationship going lol I kept seeing this popping up on my Goodreads left and right… and I’m so glad I finally borrowed it. I’ve never read anything like it.Well, that was interesting. Is anyone else a big fan of the enneagram? Because that dude is an enneagram 4 if I ever saw one; creative, moody, emotional, dramatic, sweet, feels like he's the most unique person ever, and no one truly sees him. I would not date him. He is a self-confessed manchild who is not ready to grow up. Why not 5 stars? There were some grammar mistakes and formatting errors that were sometimes distracting. There’s also some commentary about people (well, in this case, minotaurs) being commodified which added to the mix. There really is a lot more to the book than minotaur sex. Gosh I love CM Nascosta. Full disclosure we've been mutuals on IG probably since 2020 and I'm on her Patreon. But I would be straight up if I didn't enjoy this book and GODS, I enjoyed it so much. I also didn’t love hearing so much about Lowell’s previous sexual activities (or that of his brother Grayson’s). There's a scene towards the end where Lowell is so overwhelmed by the heat/moon that he would have had sex with his own brother’s girlfriend (or literally anyone in heat) that made me feel gross. I think it was meant to show how powerful the breeding instinct was, but all it did was make me not believe in his feelings for Moriah. The ending was very rushed and it bothered me so much that Moriah never came clean about what she’d been taking/doing to keep Lowell in her life while she came to a decision about her immediate future. Overall, this was really disappointing.
