About this deal

The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has today (Wednesday 22 November) announced a range of tax, benefits and savings measures. We round up the key announcements and what they mean for you.

Remegel is a flavoured, chewable tablet that is an effective form of relief from Indigestion, Heartburn and Excess stomach acid. This product contains sucrose and glucose syrup and as such, care is required in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Adults and children 12 years and over: One or two tablets of Remegel to be chewed as a single dose, when symptoms occur. You can give your child medicines that contain paracetamol, unless your doctor has told you not to. NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Ulster Bank, which are all part of the NatWest Group, will now shut at least 172 of their bank branches in 2023 and 2024. Some drugs can cause heartburn as well such as ibuprofen or aspirin. There are a few others as well.

Changing your eating habits to include smaller, more frequent meals as opposed to three large meals. Ensure your final meal of the day is eaten three to four hours before going to bed. Treatment should be symptomatic and supportive. Haemodialysis and other therapeutic measures such as saline diuresis have been used to treatsuccessfully the excessive ingestion of calcium carbonate antacid. 5 PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES 5.1 Pharmacodynamic properties Rolaids Softchews were originally developed and test marketed, in Oklahoma City, under the brand name Remegel by Warner Lambert in 1984.Long term uses at high doses can result in undesirable effects such as hypercalcaemia and milk-alkali syndrome, especially in patients with renal insufficiency. Prolonged usepossibly enhances the risk for the development of renal calculi. Endoscopy: This is performed using an endoscope, which is a long flexible tube with a camera and light at one end. This tube is inserted into the throat and can help visually detect any damage to the oesophagus. Yes - Remegel tablets can be used to relieve indigestion and heartburn associated with pregnancy or when breastfeeding. However, be sure not to take more than the recommended dose.

Remegel tablets are indicated for the relief of acid indigestion and heartburn, and associated stomach upsets (dyspepsia) 4.2 Posology and method of administration you have needed to use heartburn or indigestion remedies continuously for two or more weeks to control your symptoms Instructions on how to prepare this mixture and measure the right amount are available here: www.medicinesforchildren.org.uk/advice-guides/giving-medicines/how-to-give-phosphate-or-calcium-from-effervescent-tabletsHypersensitivity reactions: These may consist of (a) non-specific allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, (b) respiratory tract reactivity, including asthma, aggravated asthma, bronchospasm, and dyspnoea, or (c) various skin reactions including rash, pruritus, urticaria, purpura or angioedema. Avoid trigger foods, such as alcohol, coffee, chocolate, tomatoes and anything fatty or spicy. If any of these have proven to make your symptoms worse, it is recommended they be avoided. There are various reasons why someone may suffer from acid reflux or heartburn, the most common being a failure of the lower oesophageal sphincter. This sphincter comprises a ring of muscles that act as a valve, allowing food to enter the stomach whilst keeping acid from exiting. If the lower oesophageal sphincter doesn’t close fully, it can let acid leak up out of the stomach.

Generally, patients should start with antacids and then make their way down the list if treatment does not control their symptoms. If you are only experiencing symptoms a few times a month that can be attributed to food and/or drink then it may not be necessary to see a doctor; self-diagnosis and treatment is likely to be appropriate. Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7% There is no information relating to the excretion of Remegel in breast milk. However, no problems would be anticipated from the use of this product duringlactation, if taken in accordance with the posology.

If you have diabetes or intolerance to certain sugars you should be aware that Remegel tablets contain sucrose, glucose syrup, glycerol and sorbitol. I expected nobody to answer if I'm honest as I thought it was maybe something that only bothers me. If required, your doctor can carry out further testing of your symptoms using various different methods. These include: Dosage: For oral use. Adults, children 12 years and over and the elderly: Chew and swallow 1 or 2 tablets. Repeat as necessary, up to a maximum of 12 tablets in a 24 hour period. Not recommended for children under 12. It doesn't bother me as its not like its constant, but when I do get it, its normally at night when in bed and so I really can't stand the nasty chalky remedies when I am half asleep and Remegel are the ones that work best for me!!
