I went into Sunset having no idea what it was about, I requested it on a whim as it was an audiobook and I wanted something to listen to. I got accepted on Friday and finished listening on Saturday. It's impressive that this is Cave’s debut as it is such an accomplished novel. Her prose is self-assured, her tone is consistent, and her characterisation is phenomenal. Cave’s depiction of grief and sisterhood is moving and believably messy.
