About this deal

This 11.2 mile (18 km) walking route, located in East Sussex, is a great way to explore the area’s stunning coastline, lush countryside, and quaint villages. The Royal Eastbourne Circular Walk is a great way to experience the best of East Sussex, and it’s a must-do for any outdoor enthusiast. Conclusion This is a lovely short woodland stroll around the delightful Darwell Wood. It can be especially wonderful in the spring when you can find carpets of bluebells and wild garlic.

If you use satellite navigation in your car you may be able to use the lat/long coordinates given for your destination. If you do this, please note that the lat/long will often indicate a point which is not on a public highway, so care may be needed on the final stages of your journey. The link to Google Maps uses exactly the same lat/long as the one provided for the walk and hence provides confirmation of precisely where this is. Meander through picturesque villages and past the iconic Eastbourne Pier on the Royal Eastbourne Circular Walk. The second route is an extension to the first route that doesn't take you through the Bramber high street for the pub (although you can easily stroll in if you wish). Instead, it extends the loop to make a longer walk that enjoys a lot more walking alongside the lovely River Adur. This second route the choice for you if you have some more time to explore this lovely park. It takes you around Tilgate lake like on the first route, but it then heads off deeper into the park enjoying more lovely woodland paths, the Peace Garden, another lake and a stroll through the heather gardens. This second route is effectively an extension of the first route. It still enjoys the simple open countryside paths from the first route, but this extension also enjoys a short section of woodland walking and a visit to the village of Nuthurst where you'll find a pub for some refreshments. As with the first route, there is a short section of walking along a road at the start, so please be careful here. This third route is basically the first two routes put together for your convenience. Follow this route if you have some more time and want to explore both the Pulborough Brook Nature Reserve and the Wiggonholt Common.

This third route takes you to yet another hilltop in this lovely area of the South Downs. This route takes you to 'Cow Down' and offers more of the same as the other routes in terms of the energy needed to climb the hills and the lovely rewarding views you get to enjoy as you walk. If you’re looking for a challenge, the Wealdway is the perfect choice – its undulating terrain is perfect for those who enjoy a bit of a hike, and you can also take the route in sections. Just a short bus ride from Brighton is this area of outstanding natural beauty, part of the South Downs National Park. There are 6 routes to try in this area, including a gentler family-friendly option, all of which include breath-taking views. The paths along the banks of the River Arun while stunning are particularly muddy in winter. In September, join our annual High Weald Walking Festival and choose from a programme of free themed walks led by knowledgeable guides. This is a lovely short family-friendly and easy access walk around the pretty Hollingbury Woods. The route is free from gates and stiles and suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. This spot is probably most well-known as the brutal ending to the London to Brighton Bike Ride but this area is alsogreat for walkers. There are 7 routes to explore on the app including an epic adventure of 9.25 miles.Don't worry though that route does incldue a pub -phew! Link to Ditchling Beacon map and route details
