About this deal

The Tacx Antares rollers are made with conical rollers that keep your bike in the middle of the roller for your entire workout. These will provide around 40% of the resistance you get on the 4.5-inch drums. So it gives you more options in terms of training load. With my waistline increasing and no motivation to ride up hills (or in bad weather) one decided to invest in a set of rollers. Having never 'rollered' before, there was a degree of trepidation if I'm honest but the prospect of getting time on my bike without being battered by the elements was appealing to me. When shopping for rollers, there are several features you should keep in mind. Some are more important than others, but all will factor into your overall experience and help you determine what roller is right for you. Rollers are a completely different experience. Yes, they feel like the road. But they also require 100% focus.

Note: For larger items such as wheels, smart trainers, this charge may vary and you will be informed of the price before the item is sent). The Tacx Antares Basic Trainer provides a simple and engaging way to train or warm up. The adjustable length makes use with different bikes very easy, and the smooth, quiet running of the rollers gives a decent road feel. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. Most sets of rollers include three to five drums or cylinders which spin against each other and your rear wheel while your bike is stationary. The Nero rollers have put two flywheels in the rear rollers, which makes the ride feel very realistic and as if you’re outside. And, when more resistance is put on, you’ll feel like you’re on a hill.Rollers are cheaper than trainers since they have such a simple design and don’t come with flywheels or “smart” functions found on some high-end trainers.

If you want to try rollers but are a little nervous about the stability challenges then hybrid rollers may be the thing for you. As you can see in the picture, these are designed with a tripod at the front to hold your bike steady at the forks.

The roller is very light and folds up easily for transport or storage. You can take this to triathlons or bike races to warm-up on. Rollers do have resistance because it’s all derived from whatever gear you’re riding in. Of course, smart rollers can change resistance via a training app. Rollers and Price Chain reaction Cycles and CRC are trading names of Wiggle Ltd (In Administration) registered in the United Kingdom at 1000 Lakeside, Suite 310, Third Floor N E Wing, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO6 3EN,
