About this deal

The spark plug is essential for the power stroke of your Vespa engine. The spark ignites the fuel/air mixture causing combustion in the cylinder chamber. If the engine doesn’t get the right spark then this will affect the performance of your Vespa. eventually after 20 minutes of trying, it starts, and stays running --- but if I open the throttle, then the engine wants to die out. If I let go throttle, it recovers. Naturally, if there is no spark then either your spark plug needs replacement or there is something wrong with the cable to the ignition coil. 3. Carburetor malfunction affects your Vespa performance

I've been fiddling with my P200E since I put the Sito+ on it. Finally have it where it's running strong, and now I'm thinking about drilling the air cleaner mod, which will likely start me fussing with it all over again. The second circuit we use, is the progressive. The opening for this, is in the slide groove, and is opened and closed when we twist the throttle and the (from top looking down, flywheel side) the top left corner of the slide passes the hole. The amount of A/F regulated is by the idle jet we choose. The outlet hole is about 3 mm dia, and can only be seen from underneath.Its opened almost immediatly we twist the throttle. The air/fuel mixture screw is often located nearby the idle screw. A 2-stroke Vespa just needs a small screwdriver to adjust this, you can easily reach it. On a 4-stroke you would need an air-fuel mixture screw tool to reach and adjust it properly. It is possible that the spark plug isn’t connected properly. This can happen due to vibration when riding or when the spark plug cap or rubber boot is worn. I noticed that the "dust boot" around the carb is fairly torn. So I just removed it. Then there was a rubber hose ~ 1/2 diam just left open. Forgot to mention I am also running the PM tuning ignition system which is DC powered and has variable advance. However price to performance this unit adds very little... although it does have better spark when held at high rpms which is kind of what a 50cc is all about. Flat open full throttle.

3) Cookies

I wrote a piece on the si carb, mainly mixer tubes and there different effects. By opening up the air corrector to un restricted ambient atmospheric pressure, it alters the way the carb works, and allows the mixers to operate right through the rev range. The tappet opens and closes the valve. The space between the tappet and the valve is known as valve clearance. If this is too large the valve will not open completely. Too small? Then the valve will not close completely. The legal basis for these processing operations is generally Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b, in the sense of which passing through the application procedure is considered to be the initiation of an employment contract. You can now see that the amount the A/F added is teeny weeny from the idle mixture screw up the rev range. There has to be some A/F added, via this circuit upto WOT, as there is a fault with a T5 scooter which makes me believe this to be the case. (idle circuit emptys while riding, throttle off engine momenteraly dies).
