About this deal

This release came with a DVD of "Convoy Disappeared", the Japanese dub of " Chain of Command" which was an episode that didn't feature Cheetor in any sort of meaningful way, despite episodes that do being easy to come by. Cheetor would later receive another upgrade from Megatron's cloning experiments, becoming a Transmetal 2. With this, he gained even more power and speed, but at the cost of bestial urges that he had to learn to control. With his new missile launcher and leap-thruster, Cheetor stirred fear in the Predacons he fought against. Transmetals 2 Cheetor bio Cheetor figure comes with classic tail blaster and water-squirting “gut blaster” weapon accessories. Tail blaster attaches as cheetah tail and water blaster attaches as cheetah stomach in beast mode. Water blaster is functional in both modes. Figure also features flip-down mutant head Part of the fourth wave of Kingdom Deluxe Class toys, Shadow Panther is a retool of Cheetor from the same line, with a new head based on the original figure's mutant head. He transforms into a "panther" in 20 steps. Shadow Panther's tail can detach to become a bladed whip, similar to Cheetor's Transmetal toy. His beast mode has fully articulated limbs and his jaw can open and close. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars, the original 1996 Deluxe Class Cheetor was reissued under the Vintage Beast Wars lineup. Cheetor features all the same accessories and functionality as the original toy but differs slightly in deco: most noticeably, the cheetah eyes are green while the robot eyes are orange, which is a combination not present on earlier releases. The shoulder joints have also been mildly reinforced from previous releases.

After Airazor was reborn on Earth, Cheetor fought the Predacons during a plot to launch an orbital weapon. The launching pad was destroyed by Airazor. The Razor's Edge A redeco of War for Cybertron: Kingdom Cheetor, Legacy "Autobot Nightprowler" transforms from a robot reminiscent of his unreleased Universe figure into a snow leopard. Nightprowler's tail can detach to become a whip, similar to Cheetor's Transmetal toy. In beast mode, his jaw can open and close to adorably change his expression. Nightprowler has an Autobot logo on his forehead, as his unreleased toy was originally intended to be an Autobot.

Transmetal Cheetor's torso panel hinges went through several iterations during development. The resin hardcopy prototype started off with the panels' hinges being on the inside of the hinges connected to the torso. The second iteration in the test shot phase swapped this orientation, having the outer hinges be on the panel and the inner hinge be connected to the torso. By the final point of development, the hinges were kept the same as the second iteration, but were reinforced at the base to prevent breakages. [11] Coincidentally, some test shot copies of the toy were molded in colors similar to that of the Armada Cheetor retool which was released six years later. Accessories: 2 sets of alternate hands, 1 "tail blaster", 1 Energon crystal, 2 blast effect accessories Estimated ship date subject to change, items may ship earlier or later than anticipated without notice Cheetor, Rattrap, Dinobot and Rhinox were forced to evacuate the Axalon when a fight caused Rhinox's new defense system to go out of control. A Better Mousetrap Later, after Primal had been infected with a Predacon virus which caused uncontrollable rage, Optimus managed to persuade Cheetor to release him from his confinement, only for the Maximal leader to head off on a one-bot mission against the Predacons. After Primal had slagged most of the Predacons, Cheetor managed to get hold of the antivirus and administer it to Optimus. Gorilla Warfare A tiny statuette of Metals Cheetor on a rectangular stand was available with candy, alongside other Metals characters. [4]

This Micro-Changer assortment was the last one to appear at Target, with later waves showing up only at Toys"R"Us or drug/discount stores. This eccentricity didn't affect his effectiveness as a spy, however. Cloaking himself in shadows and in illusions created by his holographic emitter, he executed his missions with grace and precision. On the rare occasions when he encountered opposition, he used a neuro-weapon to paralyze his foes. His sole weakness, which he shared with his idol, was his optic sensors' inability to adjust to bright light. Beast Wars Sourcebook #3 Beast Wars: Uprising This toy, like most of the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy toys, is a Walmart exclusive in the U.S. and Canada. Like the rest of its Deluxe Class wave, Cheetor was found in Walmart stores on March 13 [7] before an official unveiling. Much like Optimus Primal, at some point during the development of The Last Knight, Cheetor was considered to appear in the movie. A few designs were conceptualized during the film's production (see #Gallery). Due to the temporal machinations of Ravage in Primax 785.06 Alpha, a quantum duplicate of the Autobot shuttle carrying the victorious Maximals home from the end of the Beast Wars in Primax 496.22 Alpha was spawned. The shuttle was shunted to Primax 903.0 Beta, where Unicron destroyed it, scattering its crew into transwarp space. Outlier Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/30 TransTech

The war continued as Optimus Primal led the Children of Primus against the forces of Unicron across the multiverse, but the conflict eventually took a toll on Cheetor and the others. Contaminated by constant exposure to Unicron's corrosive essence, Cheetor was afflicted with the nanotech " Unicron virus", which worsened with time. To keep from descending into madness or deactivation, Cheetor was rebuilt and purified by Primal's Matrix of Purification. Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal profile Kabaya released a set of models based on Metals characters, of which Cheetor was one. He came with candy! He also came in translucent plastic, if you wanted it.

In Japan, this toy was released as a JafCon convention exclusive, under the name of "Metals Cheetus Silver", along with the "Fox Kids" versions of Transmetal Airazor and Transmetal Rattrap. He was available only as part of the BotCon 2006 " Dawn of Future's Past" box-set, with "Axalon" versions of Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Rattrap, and " Darksyde" Dinobot.Just as the battle seemed to be over, Cheetor received an incoming transmission from Megatron's stolen ship. Megatron introduced himself and disappeared through a transwarp portal. Cheetor and the rest of the Axalon crew followed blindly. Dawn of Future's Past In 2014, Nightprowler randomly turned up in a display at Hasbro's Transformers 30th Anniversary San Diego Comic-Con Press Breakfast. A tiny plastic Cheetor figurine molded onto an irregularly-shaped stand was released by Kabaya. Labeled toy 4 of 6, the other characters in his wave were Dinobot, Rattrap, Megatron, Optimus Primal, and Rhinox. As always, terrible candy is included.

After the quantum surge, Cheetor acquired a Transmetal form that gave his robot mode the organic attributes that his beast mode once possessed. The upgrade gave Cheetor more power and agility than ever before, and this new body had flip-out cyber-thrust wings that gave him additional speed and limited flight. Transmetals Cheetor bio Shadow Panther was the head of the Predacon Secret Police, although rumors swirled about his origins and true allegiance, with some saying he was secretly a Builder rebuilt as a Predacon, or that his Spark had been altered by aliens. Which was, of course, ridiculous. After the Grand Uprising, he became a part of the second Tripredacus Alliance and a representative of the Independent Predacus States at the Cybertronian Parliament. Derailment War for Cybertron Trilogy marketing material Mainframe Entertainment's original plan for Transmetal Cheetor was to have his face mature over the course of the season, from a big-eared, wide-eyed, rounded face into one close to the toy. Also, he would have had a "Hero's Heart" which glowed after completing brave or heroic feats, somewhat akin to the classic anime character Astro Boy. Due to time and financial restrictions, none of these concepts panned out.Takara released two different Cheetor toys; one that was the same as Hasbro's red-eyed version, and a running change version in January 1998 that not only has various color tweaks to make him slightly more show-colored (including dark green cheetah eyes, a gold head crest instead of blue, and red robot eyes), but also has a slight mold tweak to keep the beast head pointed forward in robot mode, based on Hasbro's initial release of Tigatron, which has been retained on all versions thereafter. I can verify that the German translations are actually correct and don't read like auto-translated ghibberish. While returning to their ship, the rogue Predacon Dinobot barred their way and challenged Optimus to a duel. Although Cheetor was keen to fight in Primal's place, Rattrap restrained him; when the other Predacons interrupted the fight, the battle revealed a huge energon crystal in a nearby mountain, and the Maximals rushed to claim the bounty before the Predacons could take it for themselves. High amounts of energon radiation forced both sides to fight in their beast modes, and although Cheetor fared better against Waspinator the second time round the energon was all destroyed. Beast Wars (Part 2) Cheetor figure comes with 2 blaster accessories and converts from cheetah to robot mode in 9 steps. While Optimus went onward to retrieve the Allspark, Cheetor and the Maximals disagreed with the Autobots over the importance of the Allspark and the nature of their own mission, until Rattrap pointed out that Primal had also gone missing. Kingdom episode 4 Cheetor and the other Autobots and Maximals soon re-united with their respective leaders, but they brought bad news: the AllSpark, separated from Cybertron for too long, had begun to die. After a brief stand-off against the two Megatrons, the Maximals and Autobots returned to the repaired Ark and prepared to launch before the Predacon-Decepticon alliance launched a full-scale assault, and as the heroes besieged the enemy starship Cheetor and Tigatron faced off against Ravage. Ultimately, however, the battle ended with the Ark itself assuming its new robot mode and toppling the Decepticon flagship, allowing the heroes to take the two Megatrons and their followers prisoner before blasting off.
