On the way to and from the academy it also affords a degree of safety as the students are part of a large body of young people who will look out for each other A sense of belonging– the uniform promotes a sense of belonging in each student, academy and the Trust Uniform can be bought through at any retail outlets, such as Asda and Tescos. Items with the school logo can be bought from Premier School Wear.Pre-worn or second hand uniforms are available from our School Office. Value for money– good quality uniform should be seen as effective value for money by most parents / carers We believe that school uniform helps to promote a sense of belonging to our school community. It also ensures that pupils are wearing sensible clothes for their learning activities.

We need the support of parents and carers to ensure that our school uniform policy is followed. We would ask that you take particular note of our guidance for footwear and jewellery. We are aware of the financial pressure on families and have been working hard to identify ways that we can maintain a high quality, long lasting school uniform, whilst reducing the cost to families.NO JEWELLERY: Children should not wear jewellery in school for health and safety reasons. The risk of injury whilst during PE but also on the playground and when taking part in active learning prohibits this. Preparation for the future– many jobs require staff to wear a uniform and even if there isn’t a uniform there is often a dress code. Uniform helps young people get used to dressing to a prescribed standard. It also helps them know the difference between formal and informal dress
