About this deal

In The Son of Neptune, after Percy takes a ride with an Inuit Indian (who tells him about Inuit myths and gods), Percy starts to believe that other gods beyond Greeks-Romans might possibly exist, but given that his life is already quite complicated, he prefers to not think much about it. He later meets other Gods following the Second Giant War.

After Orion got new eyes, he became the first male ever to join the hunters. But then he went crazy and killed lots of animals, so Gaea had a giant scorpion kill him and he was turned into a constellation. Hippolytos, the son of Theseus, was Artemis' last best friend. After his father angrily killed him, Artemis went to Asklepios who revived Hippolytos with the Physician's Cure. After Aphrodite and Hades complained, Zeus killed Asklepios, yet Hippolytos lived a long life. Dionysus was the child of Zeus and Semele. After his father freed him from his leg he told Hermes to give him to Semele's sister, Ino, and her husband, Athamas. They disguised him as a girl to hide his identity from Hera. After she grew suspicious, Zeus turned his son into a goat. Athamas killed his older son, Learkhos, when Hera turned him into a deer and Ino killed her younger son, Melikertes, by boiling him. They jumped off a cliff after realizing this. Then: Janus was one of the most important Roman gods. January, the beginning month of the year, was named after him. It’s said that Janus showed Saturn hospitality when he fled to Italy after the Titan war, so Saturn gave Janus the power to see both the past and the future. Twice the faces. Twice the fun! Gee, thanks, Saturn. Super gift. Then one day, Hera got the idea to overthrow Zeus. She rounded up Poseidon, Athena, and Apollo for help. But a nymph named Thetis had Briares untie him, on the promise of Thetis he didn't kill the gods. He had Hera suspended over the abyss of Chaos, Apollo and Poseidon were turned into humans and forced to work as laborers for King Laomedon of Troy, yet Athena got off scot-free.In Greek mythology, Medusa was also a monster with snakes for hair and the ability to turn people to stone with her gaze. She was once a beautiful woman, but after she was seduced by Poseidon in Athena's temple, Athena punished her by turning her into a monster. Medusa was later killed by Perseus, who used a mirrored shield to avoid her gaze and cut off her head.

The birds were said to have been created by the goddess Artemis, and were said to be so fierce and dangerous that they could kill men with their feathers. In Greek mythology, the Moirai were depicted as three women who controlled the thread of life, determining when it was spun, measured, and cut. Clotho spun the thread of life, Lachesis measured it, and Atropos cut it. Together, they determined the destiny of every mortal and god. Gods can appear in multiple places at once, so long as their domain is being invoked. Dionysus, for example, was able to manifest at a party despite the fact that his true self was buried under a mountain. It is unknown how many of these "copies" can be made at once, or what powers the god retains while in this state. According to Hephaestus, the only time a god’s essence is ever in one place is when they are in their Divine Form.

In Greek mythology, Zeus was the son of the titan Cronus and the goddess Rhea. He was the ruler of the heavens and the earth, and was associated with thunder, lightning, and the forces of nature. Zeus was also believed to be the protector of justice, hospitality, and oaths, and was revered as the patron of kings and warriors.

A student of Chiron and dog trainer, Actaeon, fell in love with Artemis but she turned him into a deer and he was eaten by his own dogs. Sipriotes did the same thing and was turned into a girl. Zeus turned into Artemis to win the hand of one of her followers, Kallisto, who got turned into a bear by Artemis, gave birth to Arkas, and was turned into Ursa Major. In Greek mythology, the Summer Solstice was a significant event that marked the longest day of the year and the beginning of the summer season. It was also an important time for festivals and celebrations honoring various gods, including Zeus. The Summer Solstice was considered a time of great power, and it was believed that magical energies were at their peak during this time. Asclepius was also associated with the cult of healing, which was a popular religious practice in ancient Greece. People would come to his temples and shrines to seek his guidance and healing powers. The most famous temple of Asclepius was located in Epidaurus, which was a major center of healing and medicine in ancient Greece. Epidaurus The Nereids are a group of sea nymphs in Greek mythology and they were the daughters of Nereus, the old man of the sea, and were often depicted as beautiful young women who lived in the Aegean Sea. They were associated with the sea and with sailors and were often depicted as helpful or playful, sometimes rescuing sailors who were in danger at sea. The rivalry between Athena and Poseidon stems from their fight over the patronage of the city of Athens, in Greek mythology. According to legend, the two gods competed to see who could create the best gift for the city, and Athena's gift of the olive tree was chosen over Poseidon's gift of a saltwater spring. Thus, the goddess Athena was honored with the patronage of the city of Athens, to the detriment of the god Poseidon. While this aspect conflict happens to most of the gods, there are other gods who are unaffected by this split. Such gods are Aphrodite and Nemesis - as both love and revenge are universal for Greeks and Romans - and gods who have only one aspect, such as Bellona, the purely Roman goddess of war. Hercules, on the other hand, is not as affected by this split as the other gods, since his Greek and Roman aspects are more or less the same thing. It should also be noted that some gods, such as Favonius, are only slightly affected by this as the god had stated that he only occasionally had headaches.
