About this deal

Along with experimental brewer, Johnny Clayton, they perfected techniques to make a range of 0.5% abv beer styles – but crucially without the need for alcohol extraction – resulting in a fuller-flavour. This AF Pale Ale has 61 calories per 330ml can/bottle (compared to full strength beers which are usually 150 calories) and contains 3.6g carbs and 1.8g sugar per 100ml. Big Drop Brewing Co specialise in producing low-alcohol beers. This pale ale – called “Pine Trail”- was its second brew, the first being its award-winning milk stout.

Its range of beers, which are all <0.5% abv, currently consists of: Stout, Lager, Pale Ale, Citra IPA, Brown Ale, Golden Ale, Hazelnut Porter and a Sour as well as special editions and collaborations with other leading brewers. Big Drop contract brews in batches through a network of brewing partners worldwide, meaning it can produce fresh beer – locally and ethically – with a minimal carbon footprint. Uptown Craft Lager: Easy drinking, full-flavoured but elegant, this Amber Lager has light herbal and floral hop aromas, a hint of caramel with peppered spiciness on the palate, and a touch of orange at the end. The use of Mosaic and Amarillo hops in our recipe bring the distinctive new world flavours of citrus and blueberry, whilst the Magnum brings the balanced, lingering bitterness which all craft beer fans would appreciate. Things to Consider The bitterness is something I really enjoyed in this beer, as it added to the ‘enjoy it slowly’ factor.Pine Trail Pale Ale: This American Pale Ale style beer is a delight for the senses, delivering on all levels. Rosy floral aromas are immediate as you pour, with a light and limey citrus bite on the palate and a balanced but obvious bitterness to finish. Its Citra IPA was crowned ‘King of Craft’ at the 2019 Casual Dining show, which was dominated by full-strength beers. It also won the overall Champion’s trophy for ‘Non and Low Alcohol Beer’ at The International Brewing and Cider Awards and a Silver medal at the US Open Beer Championship.
