About this deal

Parabens are a large group of preservatives which are used to prevent bacteria growing in cosmetic formulations. At SkinCarisma, we've done our best to identify as many ingredients as possible but note the fungal-free label may not be 100% accurate due to the complexconditions and combination of ingredients that malezzeria can thrive on. For the same reasons they are popularly used, they are also commonly avoided. Anecdotally, many individuals have reported that Silicones cause/excerbate breakouts, irritation, cause a feeling of skin being unable to breathe, cause clumping of cosmetic products and find it difficult to wash off. As a result, those who find them problematic are avoiding them and increasingly, cosmetic companies are avoiding them as well. Also I got a Nacific item and didn’t get a Stray Kids PC which I have come to expect now which is maybe a little selfish but I was really sad I didn’t get one this time! As a result, please note this is only an experimental label that can be best used to possible identify problematic products you have used in the past. It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. It will continue to be worked on as more information and research comes to light. I’ve noticed that creams like the Farmacy beauty honey halo cream and this Pyunkang Yul cream that have ceramides in the formula do not look as glowy on the skin. They have more of what I would describe as a radiant matte finish. I wouldn’t say this bothers me, but I do like to have a glowy base under foundation to avoid cakey or dry looking makeup. When using a ceramide cream like this one, I like to use a hydrating or glowy makeup primer like the Laura Mercier hydrating primer to get the sheer glow finish I desire for my foundation. If not, don't worry about it - they do have had one of the longest safety records as preservatives! The Silicone-free label only includes the most common Silicone ingredients that have indentified been reported by individuals that could potentially cause issues.

This Pyunkang Yul cream is formulated without fragrance! I don’t mind a little fragrance in my products, but fragrance in skincare is usually unnecessary. Fragrance can be irritating to some people’s skin and it can also cause headaches. If you and/or your skin are sensitive to fragrance, this cream and the entire Pyunkang Yul line would be a great fit for you! This cream has become an exceptional gem in my skincare collection, and I'm particularly impressed by how it nourishes and strengthens the skin barrier.
