About this deal

Troubled, and rightfully so, youth are drawn together by unseen forces finding relationships of all kinds through each other. Father figures and little brothers tugging at heart strings you didn't know you had. The war between truth and reality you will have with yourself will be taxing. Isaac, Megan Lynn (Spring 2012). "Mafi, Tahereh: Shatter Me (review)". The Horn Book Guide. 23 (1): 105 . Retrieved 28 October 2014. Before wrapping up this review, I have to say, that Imagine Me was kind of interesting in terms of ending the Shatter Me series and one side of me is saying that it didn't do the justice of ending the series well. To explain further, I felt that the author kind of rushed the story so that she wouldn't have to continue the series after Imagine Me. I mean honestly, the better ending was at Ignite Me. But, then again, I should be grateful that I got more moments of Aaron & Ella and more storylines that explained a lot of things. It's just, I don't know. However, on the other side, I was really happy that Aaron and Ella got married while her having all the memories that they made together and with most people still being alive. The scenes, where Ella was turned robotic and into Anderson's kill soldier, broke my heart and literally made me want to go into the story and change things. As a matter of fact, that feeling came to me a lot of times when reading this series. To those reading this review, that means this is an excellent series to read. All the best series do that to you. In full disclosure, it’s been a really long time since I read the the first batch of Shatter Me books. Without having these beautiful characters to keep me company through my days. Juliette, a sunshine in the darkness, into whom I see myself and can’t help but appreciate her kindness and love. Warner, the best book boyfriend ( +…) I have ever come across. I have never met a love such as his. Nazeera, my dynamite, my spark. She is too good for this world. Winston&Brendan( I was rooting them from the start!!), my favourite tea drinking cuties. James, who made me wish every 11 year old was like him. And, Kenji. Kenji.Kenji.Kenji is my number one. I still haven’t managed to express my feelings properly cause I just love him too much. Neither Juliette nor Warner would be where they are without Kenji’s constant support. Kenji is one of the characters who has been through the most and yet. He is the most enjoy full and witty creature to exist. Kenji, you are my best boy, and you will always will be and that’s why you are my favorite fictional character.

She has new allies on her side and a new title, and it seems that it is finally over. But it is far from the end of her story. Defy Me Kenji Kishimoto is really my favorite character. I not only respect him for his sense of humor (with all due respect, I love his sense of humor), I do it because he shows empathy for those who are broken. And he keeps trying to make them smile even though they look like they want to murder Kenji (I think you know who I mean ;). Kenji Truley has a good heart. We need more Kenjis in this world. Still, I'm sure it can be exhausting. He talks a lot and appears on doors when he shouldn't... but he's also a broken boy. A boy who didn't have it easy in his life. Juliette is sentenced for a crime she never intended to commit. She killed a boy with touch, and she is in an asylum. In fact, the story starts three years after she was sentenced. The Reestablishment is a government system, and they are after Juliette. Unravel MeThen all of the things happened, why Adam got into the army, and who the Commander is. Oh my lord, of course anyone would hate the Commander, even how handsome he is, he did not have the best approach though in some way he always wanted Juliette to be strong and stand on her own than treats her like a fragile damsel in distress who needs saving all the time. Which Adam did! There are a few similarities between Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, but Shatter Me is not a copy of either. It is a unique novel that you need to put on your wishlist, especially if you are looking for new books to read. What is the first book in the Shatter Me series? But nothing learned within the novellas is crucial to the plot of the main series. They’ll only provide extra details that make the novels more impactful. One of the defining characteristics of the series is the intricately developed characters. From the tortured soul of Juliette to the enigmatic figure of Warner, every character undergoes significant growth and transformation throughout the series. Mafi skillfully explores their emotions, motivations, and relationships, giving readers an intimate glimpse into their world.

Unlike her first love, Adam, which was built on naivety, Aaron was the true love Juliet needed to thrive in her life. He's passionate, and who can forget the impact of "LYHFML"? I've noticed Mafi is the type of author that could write a whole chapter describing a character's feelings. It's not a bad thing but there are times when I feel like some of those are unnecessary (I swear I do not mean it in a bad way). I still love her. The second book drags. The characters seem much more focused on challenges in their love life than the war (though at least they are self aware of this fact). And the books feels whiny at times. The poor characterization in book 2 does allow for better plot and character development later through the series.tbh I wanted to give it a 3 but I'm not gonna deny the good parts and the author was good too but you see those two books and the incomplete details of the books is what spoilt it for me😑 Regardless of whether you're a young adult diving into the genre, an adult who appreciates the raw and resonant themes of YA literature, or simply someone looking for an engaging story — the Shatter Me series is a journey worth embarking on.

Juliette joins a group of rebels, many with powers of their own, aiming to finally start fighting against the Reestablishment. She also wants to discover why certain people are immune to her deadly touch, especially the one person she needs immediate protection from. 4. Fracture Me (novella, 2013) Warner drags Juliette into an abandoned classroom and tells Juliette he loves her. Warner kisses Juliette, so she seduces him to get the gun from him. She non-fatally shoots him. She finds Adam in a slaughterhouse, and they escape, although Adams's leg is badly injured. They meet up with Kenji and James, whom Kenji has given sedatives so that he will not be traumatized by the condition Adam is in. Warner wants to feel the full effects of Juliette's power, but she refuses to touch or hurt him, so he forces her to torture a soldier named Jenkins and a small child through a simulated torture room. During her captivity, Juliette develops a romantic relationship with Adam. It is revealed that Adam knew Juliette prior to the asylum, and is in love with her, and that he can touch Juliette without being harmed or killed. Adam eventually helps Juliette escape from Warner, and as they escape, Warner's hand brushes against Juliette's ankle, revealing that Warner also can touch Juliette without consequence.Kenji is trying to heal from the recent explosive events, but Juliette’s sister has other plans – to take control. 10. Imagine Me (2020) Yes she has this fatal power, but the only 2 times we see her use it ione by accident and the other when she kills her sister!!! This wall, in particular, is not so white as to be offensive, but a sharp enough shade of white to pique my curiosity, which is nothing short of a miracle, really, because I’ve been staring at it for the greater part of an hour. Thirty-seven minutes, to be exact. The Shatter Me novellas are told from a different point of view and aren’t pertinent to the story progression, so you can skip them if you’d like. The covers feature a closed eye instead of an open one, which can help you distinguish them from the novels.
