About this deal

We fully recognise the importance of increasing awareness and access to the Yellow Card scheme, and for anyone to be able to promptly report any concerns they have about the safety of medicines and vaccines. The MHRA is continually looking at ways to do this and has in place a strategy to promote the scheme and raise awareness amongst healthcare professionals and patients alike. Reporting has helped identify many new safety issues that were previously unknown until they were reported as a Yellow Card. For example: Vaccines are the best way to protect people from COVID-19 and have already saved tens of thousands of lives. Everyone should continue to get their vaccination when invited to do so unless specifically advised otherwise. In this section, we’ll be talking about how to set up for UNO Flip!, the gameplay, and the scoring for UNO Flip! or how to win the game. 1. UNO Flip! Set-Up

Highlighting the report as a possible safety issue on the MHRA database and keeping a close watch on the safety of the product by monitoring similar reports. You can set a higher or lower point threshold, depending on how many rounds everyone has agreed to play. No differences in safety are expected for the bivalent vaccines. Nevertheless, the MHRA will continue to closely monitor safety data following use of the COVID-19 vaccines in pregnancy, including through evaluation of electronic healthcare record data. Safety of COVID-19 vaccines in those breastfeeding Noting the patient perspective of the effect, fault or complication, to better understand the impact on the people who use the product. Every report counts and is important so if in doubt about reporting a suspected issue, the advice is to please report it as Yellow Card reports can help prevent future harm to others.

Please note:

Vaccination and surveillance of large populations means that, by chance, some people will experience and report a new illness or events in the days and weeks after vaccination. A high proportion of people vaccinated early in the vaccination campaign were very elderly, and/or had pre-existing medical conditions. Older age and chronic underlying illnesses make it more likely that coincidental adverse events including those with a fatal outcome will occur, especially given the millions of people vaccinated.

This year’s campaign consists of an international collaboration involving 100 organisations spanning across 88 countries that operate their own national patient safety monitoring systems like the MHRA Yellow Card scheme. The purpose of safety monitoring is to gain information about new side effects and adverse incidents, to find out more about known ones, and, most importantly, to ensure the safest use of medicines and medical devices. Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) is a real-world research service to support public health and clinical studies. CPRD is jointly sponsored by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), as part of the Department of Health and Social Care. CPRD collects anonymised patient data from a network of GP practices across the UK. Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) The game will always start with the light side. So when dealing cards, make sure that the dark side is facing you. As with all vaccines and medicines, the safety of COVID-19 vaccines is being continuously monitored.

A field safety corrective action (recall) by the manufacturer after several Yellow Card reports of mis-labelled femoral heads (medical device for the top part ball of the thigh bone in a hip replacement). All vaccines and medicines have some side effects. These side effects need to be continuously balanced against the expected benefits in preventing illness. Similar to the classic UNO game, you have to match either the color or the number of the top card in the discard pile. So the same goes for UNO Flip! but the difference here is that we also have the dark side that can be flipped to, adding a bit of spice to the game. You can only put down another Draw 5 Card on your turn once the player before you has drawn the necessary card and has skipped. 10. Skip Everyone The Yellow Card scheme is a mechanism by which anybody can voluntarily report any suspected adverse reactions or side effects to the vaccine. It is very important to note that a Yellow Card report does not necessarily mean the vaccine caused that reaction or event. We ask for any suspicions to be reported, even if the reporter isn’t sure if it was caused by the vaccine. Reports to the scheme are known as suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs).

Given the huge scale of the COVID-19 immunisation programme, with many millions of doses of vaccines administered over a relatively short time period, vigilance needs to be continuous, proactive and as near real-time as is possible. The importance of this is two-fold. First, we need to rapidly detect, confirm, and quantify any new risks and weigh these against the expected benefits. We can then take any necessary action to minimise risks to individuals. div class = "row row-cols-1 row-cols-md-2 g-4" > < div class = "col" > < div class = "card" > < img src = "..." class = "card-img-top" alt = "..." > < div class = "card-body" > < h5 class = "card-title" >Card title < p class = "card-text" >This is a longer card with supporting text below as a natural lead-in to additional content. Yellow Card scheme reports play a key role in helping the MHRA monitor the safe use of all medicines and vaccines to protect public health through effective regulation.

You can report your suspicions of a safety concern or incident yourself as a patient, user, parent, or on behalf of someone you care for. Reporting is voluntary for healthcare professionals and is considered a professional responsibility. There are legal requirements for manufacturers to report problems with their healthcare products to the MHRA. Anyone can report suspected issues with any healthcare product to the Yellow Card scheme. Reports can be submitted in several ways: Speak to your doctor, pharmacist or to call NHS 111 if you are worried about your health as the MHRA is unable to provide medical advice.
