About this deal

Now as we all know, this is the start of a wonderful friendship where feelings seem to grow and grow and Conor spends most of his time convincing Taylor that she is being much too hard on herself and that she is absolutely stunning... Brenna is a fun character and has a lot of heart. I loved seeing her overcome sexism in the sports field and work through her past mistakes as well as the relationship with her dad. Jake was the perfect mix of the sexy athlete and the college sweetheart. I adored him. There was something towards the end that kept this from being a 5 star for me, but it wasn't anything too awful. I just felt it was unnecessary. Still, it didn't take my love away from this book. I can honestly say that in my personal opinion Elle Kennedy redeemed herself in my eyes, Cuz I really enjoy the 1st book in this series as I did this one yeah, in the end this book was just average. it was cute and all but there wasnt any big ”wow” factor so… yeah

If you're looking for a swoony and steamy New Adult sports romance, this will certainly fit the bill. Was it my favorite in the series. Not quite. But it still hit the spot just right. Wanna dance?” he then asks, leaning toward my chest like he’s speaking into the box at a fast food drive-thru. The Dare Briar U, Book 4 Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy!

Garrett and Hannah's novella (★) — This is where I say I'm somehow surprised. hannahgarrett is probably Elle's favorite couple so I thought they would at least be spared. Wrong. Logan and Grace were only ones with no fighting, their part was the one that me laughing the most. The whole trip to Vermont, elopement, logans new year countdown and ALEXANDER, he is one of the main cause for my stomach ache. Dean and Allie's novella (★) — I've never been a fan of Dean but I used to tolerate Allie on some level. Well, after their novella, I can gladly say that these two are the dumbest bitches out there. People who know me know that I can barely stand Dean, but I have to surprisingly say that, in this novella, the boy was probably in the right while Allie was a complete pain in the ass. I get her fears and respect that she didn't feel ready to take some steps regarding her relationship with Dean. The problem is that she REALLY couldn't see that a relationship doesn't solely rotate around one person. She couldn't see past her fears to realize Dean also had some fears of his own and it was really annoying because Dean wasn't forcing her to do anything (it really pains me to say that Dean was somehow in his right). I like outspoken girls. Girls who bust my balls. Like Brenna Jensen - she’s the very definition of bold, and she doesn’t make me want to sprint out of the room.” Overall, I enjoyed The Riskby Elle Kennedy. It was a great romance that just made me smile, while I wished for more ompf, I would also read it again. The Riskexplores the notion of family, friendship and letting go. It’s about finding a balance and the fact that sometimes, you will fall for the person that you less expect and it’s about to get heated.

Now don't pay much mind to my rating. Because a 3.5 star for me means that I enjoyed it. Quite a bit actually. This was a super cute, slow burn, friends-to-lovers trope with plenty of laughs and deliciously steamy. Of course I will never get enough of the Briar boys, so I was all over this like white on rice. Taylor’s body image insecurities was something that was mentioned in almost every chapter. I liked that Taylor was so relatable cause I’ve struggled with body insecurities too. Whenever Conor did or didn’t do something she immediately thought it had something to do with her because of her size and curves. Sadly it became repetitive and took away some of my enjoyment from the story. I also that Elle Kennedy played more into the fake dating aspect of the novel. If this was carried on a little longer, there would have been more impact for me. I love the fake dating trope, so I was expecting it to be all full blown and it wasn’t really. Brenna and Jake have so much banter and connection, that this could have been played so much more. I adored the scenes when they played one another and tried to rile each other up. It made for such a fun read. Grace and I have had numerous conversations about what’ll happen when we get married—when, not if, because come on now. We’re end game and we both know it. I am bummed to only be giving this book 3 stars. While I was reading the first book in Elle Kennedy's spinoff series, I was just dying to read Brenna and Jake's book. So, I eagerly awaited the release of The Risk. While I enjoyed the book overall, it wasn't exactly the hit that I was hoping for.elle kennedy did her characters so dirty like… does she even know her characters because this was not them. Brianna has always wanted to become a sports journalist but with it being dominated by the male gender it's going to be hard getting her foot in the door. She's majoring in Broadcasting and Journalism at Briar. And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel—I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me. Everyone comes from somewhere, Conor. We’ve all screwed up, made mistakes.” Her tone is soft, but ringing with conviction. “I don’t care who you were before. Only who you choose to be now.” Life is funny sometimes. Funny how a simple bet—well, maybe not so simple when it involves snarky sorority sisters, alcohol and sex—can change just about everything in someone’s life. For the better.
