When you’re finished mapping, press the MIDI Map Mode button again to disable it. Mappings are saved along with your Ableton session. Therefore, if a new session is created, you must re-map all of your controls. Specifications
The mixer has all the inputs and outputs you’d expect on a four-channel club-style mixer. Each channel has two RCA inputs, one of which is phono/line selectable, all of which can be used with DVS in Serato DJ Pro. The Quattro has four different outputs which includes XLR, 1/4 TRS, and two RCA outputs.
One difference from the Pioneer DJ four-channel layout is that volume controls for the master and booth outputs are located in the middle, much like you would find on many DJ controllers, instead of the top right. All in all I like it, and I have used the Pioneers and the Behringer DDM4000 ( I only use mixers for radio). I now do not need a sperate controller for jingles nor for the effects. Use the Serato DJ Pro effects (choose A or B in your effects channels). Takes a little bit of getting used to if you have come off the Pioneer SP1 but you will get the hang of it. Connecting and setting up the Mixars Quattro with Ableton Live is a simple task, after they're connected you'll be able to adjust the software's parameters from your midi DJ controller. Software controlsThe most interesting part of the performance pads has to be the addition of a transport control mode. This pad mode gives you a play/pause button, a temporary cue button, pitch bend controls, and access to your first four saved cue points. This means you can DJ with just the mixer and your laptop, even if you do not have turntables or CDJs plugged in. I could see this being useful for mobile DJs for gigs that only require a minimal setup. Before updating to macOS 11 Big Sur please take note of whether your Serato DJ Primary hardware is ‘Supported'. If your device is in the ‘In Testing’ or 'Currently unsupported' category, do not update to macOS 11 Big Sur. The following hardware is supported by Serato DJ when used with macOS 11 Big Sur. Please ensure you are using the most up-to-date version of Serato DJ software to use this hardware. The mixer is Serato DJ enabled, meaning it communicates fully with Serato DJ. It has completely mapped out functions, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with the software. You can use the USB port to connect the mixer to your laptop. As this is Serato DJ and DVS enabled, the controls are mapped out already to fully work and communicate with the Serato DJ software, providing you with an effortless setup and DJing experience.
