About this deal

Hardware offloading lets you use dedicated hardware to accelerate some tasks. You can turn it on or off depending on what you are trying to do. This applies to the USG/USG-Pro, and also EdgeRouters. Downgrades to dual-core ARM CPU, vs the quad-core on the UDM. Lower IDS/IPS throughput as a result.

Hi,I am trying to deploy an internet calander to all users on Outlook (Not web app). The url is similar to this: https://workintranet/aspx/8789hnjhjehejkhewj. When you manually input this into Outlook internet calendar it will auotmatically sync with our ... we complemented our aggregator Unifi Switch 24 with a 16 POE-150W switch so that we can support current and future PoE devices like the Cloud Key Gen 2, Ubiquiti Unifi WiFi APs, and Ubiquiti Unifi Protect video camerasFind the appropriate section with the custom changes in the config output, for our example above it would be the following: Before: our original deployment included a single Unifi Switch 24 aggregator switch, the entry-level USG, the original Cloud Key hardware controller, and three UAP‑HD access points. I would still recommend these devices as a starter kit for those that want to deploy Unifi in a residential setting but substituting the Unifi nanoHD access points if cost is an issue. Original Unifi System. Credit Michael Connelly. Used to feed redundant DC power to the UDM-Pro, and 2nd generation Pro/Enterprise switches that support it. Not a switch, but does have an in-band Ethernet management port. Note: Although the cabling can be located outdoors, the UniFi Gateway itself should be housed inside a protective enclosure. SFP ports are hot-swappable and support 10/100/1000 fiber SFP modules. If an SFP module is plugged in, then the SFP port is active, and the corresponding WAN port is deactivated. By default, the SFP1 port is set to DHCP Client.

The UXG-Pro should be able to handle the same levels of connections as the UDM-Pro, which with IDS and IPS disabled can do 3.5Gbps.Redesigned to be more intuitive and easier to navigate, the new UI raises the bar for enterprise network management efficiency. Important network details are logically organized for a simplified, yet powerful, interface. This underlying OS difference causes some other differences. The UDM and UXG lines do not support editing the config.gateway.json file. By editing the configuration file manually, you were able to access features that Ubiquiti doesn’t put in the controller GUI. It also let you access hidden settings, and tweak features to work how you want. Normally, behind the scenes, the UniFi controller edits your configuration files for you. That only works with the features that Ubiquiti officially supports. If you’ve ever had to deploy a UniFi network, you know there are a many features not in the GUI. Unfortunately there is nothing like this going forward, and you are limited to what Ubiquiti shows in the controller. User Tip: An easy way to test the validity of the json file is: python -m json.tool config.gateway.json Deleting Changes or Reverting to Previous State I think long term, it will be better to move away from that system. Manual configuration file changes were unsupported, poorly documented, and your changes could be removed with firmware updates. Ubiquiti has promised full feature parity (and more!), but we will see. It will take a lot of development work to get parity with the officially supported USG features. Throughput Details

One potential problem with the UXG-Pro is the current state of the UDM-Pro and UniFi OS. Some features on the UDM-Pro are not working, incomplete, buggy, or just missing. Development for the Dream Machines has been steady, but after 9 months, the UXG is still on on beta firmware version 0.5.0. I have been at this for hours and changed almost every configuration I could think of to get it to work and still nothing. I am running a Netgear c7000v2 with Internal IP of 192.168.0.1 going into a Zimaboard with PFSense 2.7.0 with DHCP from Modem of 192... Enabling DPI or QOS may further impact throughput. In our experience, with DPI enabled on the USG, we saw only 60-70Mbps symmetrical throughput even though we have a gigabit Internet WAN connection. And, as noted above, we couldn’t run an accurate speed test from the USG. Resets to factory defaults. The UniFi Gateway should be running after bootup is complete. Press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds until the right LED on the WAN2 port starts flashing and then becomes solidly lit. After a few seconds, the LED will turn off, and the UniFi Gateway will automatically reboot. The following example exports the output to the config.txt: NOTE: When editing this customjson file, it is not necessary to include everything. You must only include the complete "path" to the items you have edited, anything outside of the path can be omitted.

Enterprise models have higher PoE budgets, faster interfaces such as 2.5 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet, and the features available in the Pro models RJ45 ports support 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections. A WAN port is active only if the corresponding SFP port is empty. By default, the WAN1 port is set to DHCP Client.RJ45 serial console port for Command Line Interface (CLI) management. Use an RJ45-to-DB9 serial console cable, also known as a rollover cable, to connect the Console port to your computer. Then configure the following settings as needed:
