About this deal

The water pump has the job of delivering soapy water from the tank to the foam cone, with enough pressure to nicely atomise it through the spray nozzles. Any pump capable of delivering 10 liters per minute with a few meters of head should be suitable, but finding something appropriately specified can be difficult for the uninitiated. Avison 'I bought this for my Grandson a few weeks ago. He played with it the 1st day, brilliant. The next week he came over and it didn't work. Things were going round but no bubbles. Got in touch with Argos & Chad Valley, had no response from either of them. Absolutely appalling customer service'

WARNING(S): Not suitable for children under 3 years old. Only for domestic use. To be used under the direct supervision of an adult. Owenda 'Bought the bubble machine for a granddaughter's visit, she liked it so much she pleaded with us to be allowed to take it home. Lovely toy to occupy a boisterous 5 year old in spring and summer months' Your most cherished will adore going on a bubbly adventure outside with this innovative Chad Valley Bubble Leaf Blower. It lets little ones blow a continuous blizzard of bubbles up to twenty (20) feet, blowing up to forty (40) thousand bubbles in just 5 minutes, amazing! The leaf blower comes with a bottle of bubble solution so kids can start enjoying themselves straight away outdoors; plenty of fun to be had with this one.

A Practical Approach

ZJ 'This produces a lot of bubbles steadily and is easy for kids or adults to use. Easy to refill.' The starting point is to use a fabric membrane, which will act as the surface upon which the bubbles are generated. This membrane is then soaked in soapy water. At this point, the fabric becomes a matrix of tiny holes covered in a soapy film. By then passing air through this fabric, thousands of bubbles are generated all at once, coalescing into a foam. Keep the air flowing, and keep the fabric wet, and buddy – you’ve got yourself a foam machine! A Practical Approach TRTG 'I bought this for my 5 year old son as his previous bubble gun broke at the end of last summer. So easy to use and it certainly brought a lot of happiness and oodles of giggles whilst chasing his friends in the garden with it. Would recommend it and we are already looking into buying the other type sold by Argos with led lights! Make sure you have plenty of bubble liquid available though as the kids will not want to put it down!' On a project like this, never underestimate the value of bringing others on board to help. Having people around to fetch tools and offer different perspectives can make troubleshooting much faster. People can also bring different skills to the table. Our project became far more robust thanks to the help of an experienced farmhand, who was able to show me how to better fit our pipes to the barbed fittings through the use of a kettle. Plus, foam is always more fun with friends!

Katie 'Only used once and the next day it worked for 5 minutes then stopped blowing bubbles but the kids had fun whilst it did work'

No, No, No, No, Yes!

A foam machine can be cheap to build, or remarkably expensive, depending greatly on the materials and hardware you already have to hand. The main components required are a foam cone, a pump, a tank, and an air supply. This guide is just one way to produce a foam machine, with an aim towards using cheap and readily available components. If you’ve got money to throw at the build, or lots of great gear lying around, there are other paths to take, but this should get you started in the right direction. The basic layout of a remote-air foam machine. Contrast this to a direct foam machine, where the membrane and sprinkler head are affixed directly to the outlet of the air source.

Danj 'I brought it for my nephews birthday party all the kids loved it! Blows out so many bubbles kept them entertained for ages! Brought some cheap bubble solution to top it up and works amazingly' Ethel 'Unfortunately after one day of use the product broke. The motor is not powerful to make the bubbles ( yes I replaced the batteries just in case)'

How Do Foam Machines Work?

Chez 'I love this bubble blower, it’s sturdy and blows lots of bubble at the press of a button. It’s Easy to use and doesn’t leak. No spills - great thrills' Zoek 'Bought this machine first time round and was great. Lasted a good half hour on and off creating great bubbles. We also bought the solution which was fab. The next day, we went to use again and it wouldn’t work. The mechanism was working but it wouldn’t blow bubbles. We changed batteries etc but still nothing. We exchanged it for the same machine the next day. 2nd machine was exactly the same. Worked great for the first day. Next day, wouldn’t blow bubbles. Returned for a gift card.' BisouPierre 'Already provided hours of fun for grandson in the first week. Easy for adult to reload bubble mixture, and easy for child to work: a must-have toy for every small child who wants to work with carer or parent in the garden. (Or for use indoors, but I'm probably not allowed to say that). Can't comment on quality yet as it has only survived a week of intensive use ...' This bubble gun toy purpose is to produce lots of bubbles for hours of entertainment while keeping children active outside. Thanks to it, kids develop imagination and role-play while playing.
