About this deal

😳 ⠀ After reading until the 8th installment I know by now how many victims there are gonna be, how Hunter will solve the case and that he will go and face the killer on his own. I would like a surprise like a victim gets away and spoils the killer's plans, Hunter's partner is the one that solves the case or is the one facing the killer in the end or anything that will be different. Riding on top of the little clues that he was able to collect, Robert Hunter goes on the trail of one of the most sadistic and elusive killers. The brutal killer seemed to have the ability to read the minds of all the victims. He was also to sense what each of the victims were scared of. In the end, it appeared that the sadistic killer would stop at nothing for achieving his twisted goals.

This time the killings are broadcast live on the internet and the viewers get to decide what way the victims die. Can Robert Hunter figure out the micro clues left behind by the killer and stop them before the next victim dies? Robert Hunter is called to the most vicious crime scene he has ever attended. It is made even more disturbing when the autopsy reveals a poem, left by the killer, inside the body of their victim. Before I wanted to study animal care I liked the idea of being a Homicide detective or CSI, now I’m glad I’m not because I have nothing but respect for the men and women that have that profession. No therapist in the world could help with the horrors they must see and they have more courage and guts than most.Art is in the eye of the beholder, but this is just ridiculously exaggerated by an overachieving torture artist. internet Genesis takes us on another Robert Hunter journey of terror. We meet a killer so vicious and meticulous that even the Ultra-Violent Crimes Unit shudder. He calls himself The Mentor. He torments his victims by causing extreme fear, then excruciating pain and finally death. He always leaves part of a poem with the body and in a day or two after the murder, sends a video message to the victim's loved one. A message that makes them lose their mind. But this discovery does more than just link the two killings—it suggests that this is the work of a serial murderer.

A wiki walk can be as refreshing to the mind as a walk through nature in this completely overrated real life outside books: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_... Wrong floor, kid,’ Wilson said, pointing at the door again. ‘This is the Robbery Homicide Division – the big boys. You’re probably looking for Commercial Crimes or Support. Both of those are two floors below.’ In this book we have victims who kind of die by their own hands. It is so unique and different and again so well explained. They are all entertainers and they all look alike. Hunter is of course on the hunt for the perpetrator and the way to catch him is to understand him and the reasoning behind the crimes. There was zero chemistry between them and the only connection was that they are both into a good whiskey. The plot is fantastic, paced well from the start, the dialogue is great, the characters really shine, the story reveals itself bit by bit but you really are kept guessing for the majority of the book, no clues as to the killer's identity or indeed if Robert Hunter is going to get even close to capturing the killer in time before more and more lives are lost in this most barbaric of ways. The main reason I read crime novels is because I love trying to work out who the killer is, but that was nigh on impossible in this novel. There was absolutely no foreshadowing and there were no 'clues'. So many reviewers have said "this novel kept me guessing till the end!" and I would totally agree, but it wasn't in a tense, oh-golly-I-thought-it-was-x-and-now-I-think-it-could-be-y-oh-wow-it-was-z, way… it was in a you've-not-told-me-a-bloody-thing-and-I-have-no-idea-what-is-happening, way. Yes, keep us in the dark to an extent we don't want the killer and their motivations unveiled in the first chapter, but reveal these aspects slowly, so that we might piece the plot together ourselves. Highly recommended. 5 easy stars, would give it 6 if that was an option. If you are looking for a top notch crime book with a sophisticated serial killer plot, plenty of tense moments, some new and interesting kill scenes and a race to the spectacular finish line then you have found it. Here it is. Bet you love it!
