About this deal

This heavy-duty machine offers you an intense workout experience, and it is all in the incline and speed levels. You will enjoy an electronically-powered incline range of between 0 and 12%. With this, you can adjust the intensity you need to jog, run, or walk. The 12% incline lets you ramp an elevation of up to 7 degrees for you to target your muscles and boost your cardio strength. Boasting a max speed of 20kmph (that’s a 4:40min per mile pace) and a respectable 15% incline, it’s suitable for couch-to-5kers and speedsters alike. There are tonnes of pre-set workouts to choose from, or if you prefer interactive coaching, there’s a device holder and built-in speakers for streaming sessions. Alternatively, you could just binge Netflix while you get your sweat on...

So, you’ve set aside some cash to splash on a top treadmill. Good choice. Now all that’s left is the lengthy process of deciding which model to go for.Treadmills are always a popular piece of fitness equipment at gyms. Even if you're new to working out, most people have the ability to hop on a running machine. If you have enough space at home, a treadmill can be a versatile cardio machine that can help you build your fitness over time, allowing you to increase your stamina and endurance. TREADMILLS If you’re reading this, then you’re likely at the stage where you’re researching the best treadmill you can get for your budget. Electronically powered incline range of between 0 and 12% lets you adjust the intensity you require to walk, jog, or run, and enhance muscle recruitment, and burn more calories while exercising at lower speeds. Also, exercising at a high incline allows for reaching a goal of losing weight faster and puts less strain on your joints. The 12% incline enables you to ramp up to 7 degrees of elevation, allowing you to target leg muscles and improve cardio strength.

In terms of other extras, there are are speakers built-in. Please never mix up a treadmill with a high fidelity audio system, but they function as well as you’d expect of any small speakers! Heart rate measurement via hand grip sensors and Bluetooth® Smart wireless receiver (chest strap optional) The DKN EzRun weighs in at 86kg but does have built-in transport wheels to the rear which helps with making minor adjustments to its location – for example, moving it from the corner of a room to the middle. The maximum user weight is 130kg which is line with most treadmills at this price point. EzRun Treadmills come 95% assembled. A big plus for those of us that are not DIY-minded (or just want to get running without the bother). DKN EzRun Treadmills: Incline and CushioningThe heart rate programmes work really well and the Three Peaks Challenge and Fartlek Training are challenging but enjoyable workouts that are built in as standard. The 1.75 HP continuous duty motor, with 3.5 HP peak, may sound a little underwhelming. Many other models, notably from JTX, have considerably more power. However, it’s still OK as a mid-rate output and can match even the JTX Sprint 7 for speed, tapping out only when it gets to 20 KPH (which should be more than enough for even the fastest runners).

The console also shows the usual biometric data you would want from any cardio machine – speed, calories burned, time spent, distance travelled and so on. The console has a 5 inch screen size, so that this is all perfectly visible as you train. We knew this was a serious treadmill as soon as we took delivery of our test unit. The box weighs nearly 100kg! So, naturally, we figured that we’d be spending the next couple of hours assembling it and this was the first pleasant surprise: the machine is 95% pre-built in the box. Assembly just involves cutting the 4 corners of the box to flatten it out, lifting the uprights into place and securing with a few bolts and then twisting the console into place and securing it. Our one criticism of the assembly process was that tightening the bolts to secure the console to the uprights as access is a little on the tight side. But – what a refreshing change to assemble a treadmill without needing to mess around with cables and electronics and worrying about doing it wrong – just a few bolts and that’s it. It also has good quality built in speakers, an AUX port for device connectivity and Bluetooth. Finally, you get a tablet holder and two water bottle holders (in case you get really thirsty, I guess…) The second part is where we objectively compare hard facts which are directly comparable – so, the top speed, maximum user weight, incline percentage, motor power and running area are all hard facts. We compare treadmills against one another in their relevant price category.Programmes: 27 (18 pre-set unique workout designed by a certificated personal trainer, 3 user-defined, 3 heart rate controlled, 3 manual target modes – time, distance, calories) The connectivity options and pre-set programmes will keep you on-point and entertained, the safety features are exactly what you need them to be, and the stability of the frame coupled with the safety, comfort and large surface area of the running belt will keep you in one piece with whatever stride length or power you need to put down. We stated that this machine comes with a not-so-large size, which means you can easily include it in your small apartment or studio. This unit measures 183 (h) by 85 (w) by 143 (l) cm. It comes in heavier than most treadmills, weighing 84 Kg. That heavyweight means that the treadmill can support up to 130kgs of user weight. So, it’s a plus.
