This feature not only allows you to enjoy a silent night’s sleep, but gives you vital time to take action and replace your batteries. Heat Alarms (Kitchen Alarms): Heat alarms are the only alarm suitable for use within the kitchen as they’re not affected by cooking fumes like traditional smoke alarms. FireAngel recommend a heat alarm is fitted in the kitchen, but you can also fit additional heat alarms in the garage and loft to protect these areas. The FA3820-EUX10 Carbon Monoxide Alarm offers a variety of safety features, including Ventilate Instruction, Alarm Memory, Sleep Easy and Quiet Self Test. All features

Smoke Alarms: To offer high protection FireAngel advise a smoke alarm within the circulation area of each floor of the property, as well as within the main habitable areas such as bedrooms and living room. It’s important to remember that the sensors in all smoke alarms deteriorate after time, at FireAngel we recommend that smoke alarms are replaced every 10 years. Landlords must also repair or replace alarms when notified of a fault, but regular alarm testing will remain the responsibility of the resident. The smoke and CO alarms must comply with BS EN 14604 (Smoke) and EN 50291‑1 (CO) and carry a British or European approval mark, such as a Kitemark.

Do not install CO alarms within 3 metres of doors or windows, above radiators, or immediately close to anything that gives off steam or fumes like a cooker or shower room. Similarly, it is not recommended to install detectors in dusty areas such as workshops or garages. If your CO alarm stopped beeping after being outside in the fresh air for 10 minutes, you may have a possible carbon monoxide leak in your home. We recommend calling your gas supplier or national emergency gas helpline on 0800 111 999 and await further instruction. Our FA3322X4 Carbon Monoxide Alarm with digital display comes with a sealed, tamper proof battery that will last the lifetime of the alarm. The sensors within the unit will deteriorate after 10 years, so to ensure you’re protected we recommend you replace the unit after this time.
