I’ll be going through the pros and the cons of this prop replica and in a moment I’ll show you close-up shots that I took of the actual prop at the Warner Bros Studio Tour, so you can see how they compare… Harry is able to open the golden egg by digging his fingers into the groove that runs all the way around it. So that one was the hero prop (so for close-up shots in the film) it would have the highest level of detail… Then flatten your ball of clay and use it to cover your egg.
