About this deal

It's not enough really for me to warrant any change from my position on the original A*Men, it's a wonderful complex, oriental, spicy fragrance. I bought this frag during the summer months. I waited to give my review until the fall when most change from spring/summer fragrance. A*Men Ultimate is a great choice for men who are looking for a versatile, stylish, and sophisticated fragrance. It is well-priced and long-lasting, and it is sure to turn heads wherever you go.

As the scent wears on, I feel that it becomes even better than the opening act. The berry-like fruits begin to fully emerge and give the cologne a distinctive feel. Nonetheless, they are only playing a supporting role at this stage. I have spend my hard earned money on the whole set with showergel, bodybutter, hair perfume and so on. Pure Malt by Thierry Mugler seems to be a quite polarizing fragrance on Parfumo. According to all definitions, which I might read here so far a correct Mainstreamduft. Or maybe not? It is very different from the original A*Men, yet still in the same vein, in the sense that the aroma profile is strongly geared towards an older crowd, with more sophisticated tastes. This fragrance single-handedly reshaped my nose, and introducing me to the world of sweeter fragrances! Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Malt EDT is a fantastic, strong, sweet vanilla, boozy, malt, whiskey, resinous amber, and coffee fragrance. Legend has it, this is A*Men aged in whiskey barrels. My BS alarm is now going off, so I will talk to you seriously. A*Men Ultimate is a reasonably pleasant perfume. It only has a fairly intimate projection and it lasts for about nine or ten hours on me. I don't propose to judge it in relation to the rest of the A*Men flankers or the original itself but simply to judge it on its own merits.

Once returned, you notice the aroma makes its way through the windless night, you doze off into a peaceful sleep, your tent overlooking a golden moon. I blind-bought this. The only other Mugler I own is Mugler Cologne, which I really like. The A*Men line, to me, has been too intense. I don't own any of them. Not that I won't. I may eventually. So, when I read about A*Men Ultimate, it sounded different than the previous A*Mens and I thought I'd give it a try. I expected it to be fresher than it is.Overall, I think it’s great but I don’t think it’d be for everyone. It can be quite pricey, it is limited by the climate you live in, not for those who don’t like the smell of malt (obviously), etc. Performance is great, well above average in terms of both projection and longevity, especially the former, since it seems to project well off of skin for 4+ hours.

If you plan on wearing this to a first date, job interview, or work, make sure you're ok with people thinking you've had a few drinks not too long ago! You've been warned! About the fragrance: Pure Malt has a very sweet start! Musk and patchouli immediately give it an earthy touch. Together with the peat and whisky, you actually have the feeling of being sprayed with a long aged alcoholic drink. This "flag" surrounds one the first few hours and is also clearly noticeable for the wearer. In the further course of time, the woody notes are added. The whole remains as a sweet-woody film on the skin. As the fragrance progresses, it becomes more mellow and sweet with the vanilla, amber and caramel notes coming to the forefront. The malt, whiskey and fruits get quieter and quieter as the fragrance dries down but they're still there. This could have been called Mugler Pure Sage, but I guess that doesn’t have much of a ring to it, so Ultimate prevailed. If you ignore the brand, you could also use the smell as an indicator for a niche scent. One often reads of characteristics such as exclusivity, eccentricity and complexity. Pure Malt is exclusive in its own way: very rarely have I seen him in a shop. Whether he's been hired or not, I don't know. I had to get my impressions from bottlings. Thanks again to Parfumo for this opportunity and my financial ruin.I am in receipt of your message regarding t he difference between the original A*Men Pure Malt and the A*Men Pure Malt Liqueur de Parfum Creation 2013. The opening of A*Men Ultimate is very fresh, aquatic-like. I don't get much bergamot. The fresh fades after about ten seconds into a candy sweetness that reminds me of walking into an old five and dime store full of every candy you can imagine, and I like this but hate it at the same time. I do not detect balsam fir, and there is only a very small hint of cocoa in the dry-down. Vanilla dominates the fragrance, but it is a synthetic vanilla, not natural vanilla. I feel like they were aiming for a similar vibe to Le Male or Eros; even the bottle is blue-green like both those. Projection is minimal, sillage (scent trail) seems almost zero, odor life short, but some of the base notes hang on for a whole day but with no projection. The opening of A*Men Ultimate is dominated by the coffee note, which gives the cologne a warm, inviting aroma. Now while my review of Pure Malt seems less than favorable it in no way means that I dislike this fragrance. Its very good for a designer Whiskey release & its very mass appealing compared to Niche Whiskey Fragrances which smell as if you've been binge drinking.

But it seems only me. I asked 3 younger women <25 and all them said it smells like a business aroma. But they didn´t really like it, because it´s so strong. The opening of both of these scents is really quite fantastic, in my opinion. This is going to be a tough comparison, as neither of these scents is bad or an under performer, and it will mostly come down to personal preference. The whole thing is warm, sweet, and gourmand. Angel Men Pure Malt is an experience all its own and probably one of the best colognes on the market. It’s application is niche, but it does things so utterly well, that I want to spray it on more and more. That's 'cause my ex-boyfriend was wearing it. I asked the question about his perfume directly on the first date. Jesus del Pozo Halloween Man X EDT is a good, sweet tonka, boozy whiskey, coffee, and spicy cinnamon fragrance. There’s just so much going on here, and when it came out, there really wasn’t too much out there that was quite like it.
