I've used the X100 about six times, and so far it's been pleasingly robust. A few other reviewers have reported eventual leaks, although there is an included repair patch if this does happen, and I think with good care this board should last for a few summers of adventures. Single-layer isn’t all bad, it means the board is really lightweight and rolls up to a compact size, making it super portable and easy to carry. Along with the overall quality, the Wave Tourer has really impressed me in terms of how it looks. The colour options, subtle graphics and matching paddle design makes the Wave Tourer look classy. I feel proud walking to the water with this board under my arm – Even the bright orange one! 10ft/11ft Wave Tourer specs: From the pump, to paddle and installing the fin, everything was super simple to use, even if you have never paddle boarded before. I’ve inflated and used the Wave Tourer a few times now without any issues, but it’s very different using it a handful of times compared to a few seasons. With the construction and overall price, you wouldn’t expect it to last as long as more expensive brands, but I could be wrong. I’d love to hear from anyone who has used the board for a few years because if it does last, this board becomes almost unbeatable for value. Pump Guidance: Dual and single action high-pressure feature. Use dual action first and switch to single action when the board is hard.The X100 is a good compromise between a beginner-friendly wide width and a narrower nose, which allows you to reach a decent speed when you get going. Rounder noses usually offer better manoeuvrability, but this board didn't feel tough to turn – it's easy to start out on but will also still be great fun as you progress. On top of the board, tactile rubber panels offer good grip if you're standing up and are comfy to kneel on, and I liked the added indentations where your feet go, so that you can feel where to place them when you transition to standing without having to look down. Bungee cords at the top of the board help to secure a dry bag to the board. Getting out on the water is great fun, but it isn't without its dangers.
