About this deal

A Remote-controlled 18W LED PAR56 Swimming Pool Light that enables complete mobile control of the pool’s colour. Installing LED swimming pool strip lights is just as simple and they make a great alternative to traditional underwater LED pool lights. Waterproof LED strip lights are IP65 rated, and their silicone resin design protects the components from moisture damage. The other important thing to be aware of when installing strip lights is that the LED density determines the brightness of the strip light; so, for a brighter LED pool lighting system, go for high-density strip lights for your swimming pool.

Full-spectrum light, such as the sun, is made up of various wavelengths: red, yellow, blue, green, violet, and ultraviolet. When sunlight reaches the pool, most of these wavelengths get absorbed by the water. Another finish you can put on your pool is aggregate, which is dyed plaster infused with things like stones, pebbles, and crystals. Aggregate can be polished for a smooth finish, or exposed for an anti-slip feel underfoot. Pools can have light aqua water for a tropical feel, or deep green water that looks like an exotic lagoon, bringing your water features to life. The photo above is from one of the pools I’ve built using a color called Maui Midnight – a dark blue plaster. Green

Solution: Calcium hardness is an important chemical for pool water since it helps prevent scale buildup and other problems, but too much calcium can turn the water into an unpleasant milky white. To fix this, partially drain and refill the pool water, followed by an immediate rebalance of pH levels. Metals As I said, light significantly affects pool water color. After all, if no light shines on the pool water, you won’t really see the color you are trying to achieve. Trees and foliage, for instance, can affect the way light scatters in the pool, so keep this in mind when deciding on a pool color. And don’t expect the pool water to look the same throughout the day – it’ll change slightly depending on where the pool is, the clouds, and other lighting factors, such as any pool lights you install. Pool Depth You’ll find trails of varying lengths leading around the Blue Pool Nature Reserve and into its surrounding woodland, all culminating at the tearoom and gift shop. A common misconception is that the color is due to the reflection of the sky, which is blue. There’s some truth in this due to water’s reflective qualities, but it’s not the only factor. A pool with emerald colored water is reflecting the exact same sky that a light blue pool does. Follow the road through Furzebrook for around a mile (which itself has some interesting walks across Stoborough Heath) until you see a sign to your left for The Blue Pool.

To get this water color, the pool finish has to be blue shade. Lighter shades will make the water more transparent, and darker shades will give a deep and rich color. Plaster is the old school, tried and tested option. It’s applied by hand, trowelled to make it smooth, and is the most budget-friendly option. There are various things you need to think about before you get down to the nitty-gritty of buying swimming pool lights. One of the first things that should cross your mind is what type of use your pool will get; is it a place intended primarily for fitness, where customers or family members will swim regularly, or is it more of a relaxation area? These purposes need not be mutually exclusive, but the bias may help you decide what type of lighting you’ll buy.Blue, however, is the wavelength with the lowest absorption rate. The pool’s water stays in the color that isn’t absorbed as much – blue. An estimate of potential savings in running LED pool lights against a halogen equivalent would work out approximately as follows: To some extent, yes, if you’re buying for a large public swimming baths or a fitness centre there will be a requirement for high levels of uniformity along the length of the pool, which often means multiple lights with a white output. However, for small to medium-sized pools more commonly installed at homes, hotels, and spas, a single light is frequently enough to illuminate the whole pool. Aside from the great money-saving potential of installing LEDs, one of the other great advantages lies in the flexibility they allow in design. In swimming pool lights this tends to manifest itself in a wide choice of vivid colours and effects, with built in micro-controllers endlessly blending individual red, green, and blue LEDs in more sophisticated models. With over 20 years experience working with swimming pools on the Iberian peninsula, we have built up an enviable reputation. We try our best to recommend the colour and finished best suited to the pool, but ultimately it is a personal choice that you have to make.
