About this deal

Instalar el nvme fue de lo más fácil, existen muchos tutoriales que muestran el proceso en línea y el más comprensivo es el oficial que Sony tiene en su canal de YouTube. CrystalDiskInfo can give us some basic information about the SSD, and confirms we are operating at PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds using NVMe 1.4. Test System Configuration Acquistata per espandere la memoria della mia PS5, l'SSD è stato consegnato puntuale e in perfette condizioni. Not only will it load all your plugins very fast when you boot up the apps like Adobe Premier/Photoshop,

The Seagate FireCuda 530 PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD is the latest in Seagate’s FireCuda lineup specifically designed for PC Gaming. Unlike previous drives, the FireCuda 530 uses PCIe Gen4 and 3D TLC NAND, it also comes in capacities ranging from 500GB to 4TB. Although it is more expensive than most consumer drives, its performance may justify the price for some serious gamers. File transfer times were some of the most impressive I’ve seen in all my time testing SSDs, with particular highlights being with some of the biggest PS5 games. Horizon: Forbidden West, with its 99.35 GB file size, jumped from the internal storage to the NVMe SSD in just 1 minute and 19 seconds (or 79 seconds). Equally impressive is Death Stranding: Director’s Cut (69.35 GB), which transferred in only 54 seconds. That’s well over 1 GB/sec being more-than-enough to copy your entire game library over in just a few minutes. Looking at SQL Server average latency, the Seagate FireCuda 530 had an average latency of 2ms, which places it at an impressive tie for 2nd. Only beaten by the Samsung 970 EVO Plus. Seagate has stated that there are multiple reasons for this, but essentially it is challenging to achieve the right balance between speed, write endurance, and reliability. Faster I/O speeds put extra pressure on the controller and flash, which can lead to higher heat generation and additional thermal cycling stress. The flash on the FireCuda 540 utilizes an on-die thermal sensor with a maximum temperature of 90C for optimal stability, which helps emphasize that these drives are designed to be cooled in entirety. Now looking at the sequential workloads, we look at the 64K tests. For reads, the Seagate FireCuda 530 still scoring very high, at 90,851 IOPS or 5.67GB/s with a latency of 350.9µs.

The initial instinct is to compare the FireCuda 540 to the Corsair MP700, a drive that shares the same hardware and also goes with the bare-drive approach. The E26’s reference heatsink, used on the Inland TD510, comes with a small fan for active cooling that’s annoying to power, noisy, and generally useless, so doing away with that is a good plan. It also makes sense to let the user decide how to cool the drive, as matching aesthetics is important with high-end machines. Having a different option, as does the Crucial T700 and Gigabyte Aorus 10000, is viable, but Seagate wanted something simple with this drive. Literally the faster the storage drive the better really, It will save you lot of time just booting up the app or updating everything in creative Cloud,

Endurance Unleashed. Designed to perform under heavy use and tough enough to go the distance — up to 5,100 TB TBW means you can write and delete 70% of the drive capacity, every day, for five years. The rear of the heatsink has product labeling, and the rear of the drive holds no electrical components. Seagate FireCuda 530 Specs Though I did run into 1 problem with Fallout 4 on steam and on pc game pass while using the Firecuda 530, Door load times were extremely long over a minute sometimes even 4 minutes, I had to install Fallout 4 on my sata ssd and yes that fixed the problem, In 4K random read, the Seagate FireCuda 530 starts the testing with a high scoring IOPS of 577,825 and latency of 219.7µs. Anything to save you a few seconds every with every task you do,Over the course of a video production edit those seconds do add up to alot, It will save you a few hours a month just in load times, For pc games absolutely not, Very few games use the Direct storage API to use the PCIE4.0 to it's full potential (Forspoken ,Ratchet & clank Rift apart) Any other pc games will be the same speed for load times as any sata ssd,

The Firecuda tends to idle in the 30 to 40 range, and I've only seen it hit 60 or even the upper 50s when under extreme load. When I say extreme, I mean something like installing about a terabyte of Native Instruments software in a single go, nonstop reads and writes. Still, this speed, when paired with all the benefits that the new flash has to offer, will provide for plenty of uplift in comparison to Phison E18-based SSDs paired with Micron’s 96L floating gate TLC interfacing at the same speed. Not only does this flash feature four planes, but also multiple physical enhancements to its design over the company’s previous memory. Micron’s replacement gate flash uses metal-based control gates, features an increased etch diameter, and reduced cell-to-cell capacitive coupling issues to provide for its fast performance and high-end endurance. Our testing uses the Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB as the boot drive for the system, installed in the M.2_1 slot on the motherboard. The drive is filled to 85% capacity with data and then some is deleted, leaving around 60% used space on the volume. Seagate uses the Phison E18 controller, which they state is a “Seagate-validated” part. With the E18 being one of the better consumer Gen4 controllers we’ve seen recently, its no question why they went with this model. Fastest. FireCuda. Ever. Built for sustained, pro-level gaming and accelerated content creation with transfer speeds up to 2× faster than PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSDs and up to 12× faster than SATA SSDs. Last but not least, with the VDI Monday Login test, the FireCuda 530 easily takes first with IOPS of 44,059 with a latency of 255.1µs.

For actually production tasks, It's actually very good if you run alot of plugins or after effects, I'm still sad even to this day that 3.1tb of games from the PS5 was lost by a faulty Phison E18 controller on the ssd, a 500GB volume for the database and log files. From a system resource perspective, we configured each VM with 16 vCPUs, 64GB of DRAM and leveraged the LSI Logic SAS SCSI controller. While our Sysbench workloads tested previously saturated the platform in both storage I/O and capacity, the SQL test is looking for latency performance.
