Charging speed hasn’t changed, as the Galaxy S23 keeps the same 25W charging speed as before, even with the S23 Plus and S23 Ultra enjoying 45W speeds. Testing with our own charger — Samsung doesn’t supply one — we got a drained Galaxy S23 up to a 55% charge after 30 minutes. That’s about what we saw with the iPhone 14 in the same amount of time, and Apple’s phone tops out at 20W charging. These improvements also carry over to the gaming side of things. The S23’s on-chip Adreno 740 GPU was more adept in the GFXBench Manhattan 3 off-screen benchmark, pushing out 36% more frames than the previous Exynos 2200 and its Xclipse 920 GPU. Admittedly, this doesn’t make a huge difference in terms of real-world operation but it’s the improvements compared to the previous Exynos 2200 where the Samsung Galaxy S23 really springs to life.With an elegant, Triple Lens Camera design on the rear, and sleek lines everywhere else, Galaxy S23 strikes the perfect balance between looks and smarts.
