About this deal

Alice writes the twisty sort of novel that leaves you breathless and unsure about everything and everyone… Warning – could cause sleepless nights!’ Adele Parks, Platinum

Once again Kendall is on her outlier island. I have a really hard time figuring out Alice Feeney's books. On the one hand, her writing is addicting and grabs you in from the get go... but OH NO... that ending?! OH god... that was pretty horrible folks. Yikes.... double yikes. Some truly terrible things had happened in Anna's village and I definitely think she was in the right to leave it far behind. Regrettably, we all know buried secrets seldom stay buried. I open the plastic carry case and put one of my carefully constructed cupcakes down on the pavement, between her cardboard box and the wall, so that she’ll see it when she wakes. Then, worried she might not like or appreciate my chocolate frosting—for all I know she could be diabetic—I take a twenty-pound note from my purse and slide it underneath. I don’t mind if she spends my money on alcohol; I do.Until very recently, Anna had been working in-studio, reporting the mid-day news, not trotting around in the field. A gripping debut with a brilliant twist, I LOVED it!” —BA Paris, New York Times bestselling author of Behind Closed Doors So I was truly surprised when the book suggested that Cat was the killer and THEN had Anna suggest that she was the killer and then FINALLY have Anna’s mother confess to the crimes. Twist upon twist upon twist! The alternating perspectives were such a great way to watch this story unfold. My mind was spinning trying to piece together what was happening and who the mystery perspective was.

My earliest inclination of who it was, was incorrect and I was glad. Feeney played me and I love that! Whiplash had set in by the time Feeney was done with me. And she kept me guessing until the very end, with my final choice of culprit still being pathetically wrong. His & Hers is a twisty, smart, psychological thriller. A gripping tale of suspense, told by expertly-drawn narrators that will keep listeners guessing until the very end. In 2019, Fox bought the television rights to Sometimes I Lie, and in November 2019 a project for a television series starring Feeney enthusiast [4] Sarah Michelle Gellar was revealed. Robin Swicord was engaged to adapt the book, and Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman, as well as Gellar and Swicord, were to be executive producers. [5] In 2020, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Campo, and Endeavor Content acquired the television rights to His & Hers. [6] Bibliography [ edit ] This is the second book that I have read from Alice Feeney. The first one was ‘Sometimes I Lie’ which I gave 5 stars. But I liked this one even more! So maybe she won’t get away with it… But as a commenter pointed out, she has a “friendship” bracelet for Priya all ready to go. So maybe she will!!

I bet you can't guess the murderer by the end of the book because author didn't gave any clue to suggest who is the killer. By the end you will feel like the author is genius to think of something like that but when you analyse it the turn of events will feel off the nook. All of your questions are answered and again, it’s a book that BEGS you to reread the first chapter after the last, so you can see the clues you missed. Anna Andrews is a local TV reporter. She’s been given what looks to be the opportunity of her career. Her assignment, cover a murder that just happens to be in the village where she grew up. What a huge break! This should give her the “in” she craves. Only covering this crime may be a little too close to home for Anna to be impartial. Radio 4 continues to irritate me, so I switch off the latest politician lying in my ears. Their over-rehearsed dishonesty doesn’t fit with this image of real people with real problems. Not that I’d ever say that out loud or on-air during an interview. I’m paid to be impartial regardless of how I feel. This whole experience reminds me of buying a sandwich from a pricey shop, it looked good, it seemed like your sort of thing, you wanted to like it, but there was just no substance to it, ITleft a bad taste in your mouth and made you feel a bit grim afterwards!

You know there are some books make you hooked up, glued to your hands and occupied your mind and soul so you barely breathe and function till you finish it. But in the meantime you wish it never finishes because you’re having so much fun and adrenaline, excitement, endorphin make you high! You want more! And you start to punch the walls because there is only one chapter left and you’re getting closer to finish it and you’re gonna love it so much and you start to compare the other books with it and you see that most of your reads turn into meaningless, boring experiences. In short, No One and I mean, no one can be trusted. Gotta Love Alice Feeney, she sure knows how to keep us on our toes! Maybe I’m a liar too. I chose this career because I wanted to tell the truth. I wanted to tell the stories that mattered most, the ones that I thought people needed to hear. Stories that I hoped might change the world and make it a better place. But I was naïve. People working in the media today have more power than politicians, but what good is trying to tell the truth about the world when I can’t bear to be honest about my own story: who I am, where I came from, what I’ve done. Your misdirection flawless, with plenty of plausible red herrings for us to suspect and then reject along the way!Stunning, addictive ... this book should not be missed!’ Samantha Downing, Sunday Times bestselling author of My Lovely Wife This a mind blowing psychological thriller in every sense of the word!! If you are looking for a book that will keep you guessing at the “killer” until the very end, this is the one for you. I was convinced I knew what was going on until the very end, and I was very wrong!! The ending was great and tied up the novel brilliantly! Anna’s mom confesses (to the reader) that she is the killer. She killed Anna’s father in self defense and buried him in the garden. Then there is the unknown male narrator (a/k/a the creepy AF voice). Way to give me the heebie jeebies dude! A clean enough slate with just the dust of your own past mistakes still visible—almost, but not quite wiped away.
