About this deal

The light colour is not customisable, nor does it stay lit the whole time. But, when the built-in pressure sensor is activated, the light ring is lit red. Oral B Pro 2 2500 N with its bristle protection technology helps inhibit microbial growth for up to three months. The additional advantage is that it notifies you to brush all the corners of your mouth. This is because (if you were not already aware) it is very common for electric toothbrushes, particularly Oral-B models, to sell at around 50% less than retail price. If you hadn’t already grasped, the Oral-B range of electric toothbrushes is more confusing than they need to be.

The great number of choices you have within the Oral-B range can make it really quite difficult to decide which toothbrush is right for you. But, at 2+ weeks it falls short of the industry average which is really at 3-4 weeks. By no means is this a deal breaker when considering the Pro 3. Your brushing technique, routine and diet will have a bigger impact on your teeth and making them whiter than the brushing mode alone. The Pro 2 2900 handles have a larger rubber grip on the front of the handle that the Pro 3900 does not have. The Smart 6 comes with1 x CrossAction, 1 x Pro White/3D White and 1 x Sensitive brush head, but the Genius 9000 comes with one additional brush head, that is the FlossAction head. A smaller, but relevant difference relating to the cleaning modes is that the motor in the Pro 2 2000 is a bit more powerful and actually offers more movements than the Pro 600. With the 2000 it is the rubber grip in blue or pink that contrasts against the white plastic body of the brush. Although there is a white gripped variant too. Now what dentists including myself, always say is you can clean properly using any toothbrush, manual or electric, high or low cleaning power.

Interestingly, despite the similar design, the Smart 6 is actually part of a range of brushes that includes the Smart 4 and 5 that sit below the Genius range. The Oral-B iO has been redesigned from the ground up. From the motor to the handle, to the brush head, it has all changed. Very little in it however the Oral-B Pro 3000 edges it by having the sensitive cleaning mode. The Oral-B Pro 2500 and 2000 are identical in performance. 3) Battery Life: Oral-B Pro 2000 vs 3000 vs 2500 Power isn’t normally promoted or documented as it is a small part of the toothbrushing experience. More power doesn’t necessarily equal a better clean. Your total brushing time and technique have a big part to play. In the sections below we compare Oral-B brushes that are close to each other in price and features. Model by model comparison Pro 600 vs Pro 2 2000 The power button on the Pro 3 does provide some texture and grip for the finger. And although the 3000 is now all smooth touch plastic, it isn’t as slippy as you might expect.

The key thing to know is the Daily Clean mode, is the default mode that is suitable for most people.

Oral-B Pro 2 2500 - Pros & Cons

The reality is that you could use any mode on the brush to clean your tongue just ending the clean sooner. Although the speed and number of oscillations will be different. What I mean by this, there is no evidence that I know of that suggests the Genius 9000 is technically better at cleaning the plaque away than the Pro 2 2500 and therefore make it worth the investment. Lets assume you are a couple living together and you buy the 2900. It would be cheaper to buy outright, but if you went on holiday, neither of you have a travel case to store the toothbrush handle and head in.

The last difference, which I touch upon in a section of this comparison below is the price. The Pro 2000 is the cheaper of the 2 brushes. The whitening of the teeth and using an electric toothbrush for that is complicated. There are many different scenarios and lifestyle conditions to consider. While Oral-B has partnered with schemes such as TerraCycle in some countries, it does not yet have its own recycling scheme for used brush heads or faulty products. ThePro 600 offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,0000 pulsations whilst the 2000 offers 9,900oscillations and 45,000 pulsations. There are no differences between all three of the electric toothbrushes. They share many of the same components in terms of battery life. 4) Portability: Oral-B Pro 2000 vs 3000 vs 2500The Pro 2 2500 is technically the expensive option, but most of the time it is cheaper or there is little in the way of real price difference. Technically at least though, the Pro 3 – 3000 is the superior and arguably ‘better’ toothbrush. However, in practice, the differences are subtle and don’t make the Pro 3 an absolute must buy over the Pro 2. The Oral-B Pro 2000, 3000 and 2500 all use the 3D oscillating rotating mechanism of action at 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute. They will therefore clean your teeth with the same power on the daily clean mode. The Oral-B Pro 3000 trumps the others by being able to adjust the pulsations and oscillations with a sensitive cleaning mode. If you do not have sensitive teeth, this function will be irrelevant for you. The battery indicator light is not good, especially when compared to the more expensive Oral-B models. It does not give adequate warning before the battery runs out.
