About this deal

In 'The King of Fighters Maximum Impact'', Alba's defeat quote is translated in the dub as "How can this be?!?" Duke, on the other hand, gets a shout of "How can I...!".

Penguin's 'Green Ideas' series is a new publication of twenty short books each written by an eminent environmental thinker and focusing on different aspects of our planet's environmental crisis. I am grateful to Penguin for sending me review copies of five of these works and, on the strength of what I have read so far, I look forward to completing the set myself.Canadian children's author Gordon Korman has had a long career as the prolific writer of humorous, exciting, and easy-to-read novels geared toward grades 4 to 9. He started writing at age 12, when he wrote This Can't Be Happening at MacDonald Hall! for a seventh grade English class. Over the course of nearly 20 years after the publication of this first MacDonald Hall book, Korman published a total of 7 titles about the boarding school exploits of best friends Bruno and Boots. This month, I read them all:

To be fair, the Yankees did not seem so utterly hopeless through much of this season. They were 10 games over .500 on July 4, and Rodón was about to come off the injured list after missing three months with a forearm strain. Even with Luis Severino struggling, it was plausible for the Yankees to contend with a strong bullpen supporting a rotation of Cole, Rodón, Schmidt, Nestor Cortes and Domingo Germán. King Gorge says this in Fighting Foodons when Chase and Palator overwhelm and destroy Devouron, making it his last few seconds of being an Evil Overlord before being redeemed by them. Mantle’s former slugging teammate Roger Maris finished his career that season with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Yankees gave out bobbleheads of Maris on Sunday, commemorating his 61-homer season in 1961. They’ll have a similar promotion next month for Judge, who broke Maris’s A.L. record with 62 last season. In Final Fantasy X, Wakka declares "This can't be happening," after the party views Jyscal's Sphere and learns that Seymour murdered him. He says it again after Auron states "We will protect Yuna from anyone, even a maester" and yet again if the player has Wakka use the Talk command to talk to Seymour during the battle. Later, Lulu declares "This...this cannot be!" when Yunalesca tells the party that there is no way to truly defeat Sin. Many, many variations of this are uttered by Sith NPCs (and many other baddies) in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

This book related to two other books that I have read in my life. The two books were captain underpants and diary of a wimpy kid. This book related to them because all three of these books are comedy books. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Many, or some, villains are quite fond of using this trope when bested by the Turtles. Especially the Big Bad, the Shredder. Wiseman says a similar line when Serena and Rini destroy him. "WHAT?! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! NO ONE IS AS STRONG AS THE DOOM PHAN..." In this area (of the cemetery), there are a lot of young ones, a lot of babies in particular. To do this to any grave is bad enough, but a baby's grave is very low. Being an 'angel mum' is something that is very hard to deal with. Then to have to deal with this is heart-breaking. It cuts to the core and you wonder how somebody could stoop so low. Giriko prepares to fight Kenpachi by using his Fullbring to maximize his physical strength, hulking himself out in the process. Kenpachi cuts him in half, with the most bored expression imaginable, before he can finish boasting about how powerful he has become, leaving Giriko to mutter "impossible" as he dies.

George Monbiot is passionate about the climate crisis and preserving what we have left of our natural world. I thought a number of these essays, the strongest ones, were quite thought-provoking, and made me consider the climate crisis more deeply. I think his strongest work is where he's offering his own experiences of climate change and his own grief about the decline of the natural world. Where he's reporting the speeches or efforts of others, this book isn't as strong, but, with those essays, he does capture a moment in time in the fight to save the natural world. Don Krieg isn't too happy about getting his ass handed to him on a plate by Luffy towards the end of their fight and in response repeatedly shrieks that no one can defeat him.
