About this deal

Let's start with the positives. The coverage is pretty decent, giving me a fair amount of coverage without completely masking my skin. It's nice to see my natural texture peeking through, giving a more authentic look. It's refreshing to be able to just apply this over moisturiser especially in summer. The cover is light and if you need a product to cover imperfections in your skin. This is not a product for you. But since my skin is quite ok I really don’t want a high coverage product. The light cover of Loreal BB C’est Magic suits me and the result looks really natural on my skin.

If they aren't already, BB creams should be on your must-have list, especially if you happen to love the TikTok-approved “no makeup makeup” look (AKA the “clean girl aesthetic”). In fact, I'll take a wild guess and assume that your very first complexion product was probably a BB cream (I know mine was). And guess what? Ten years after my teenage self tried it for the very first time, I became a beauty journalist and I'm still not ready to move on. I have reviewed some of the best foundations, skin tints and tinted moisturisers on the market, but it's safe to say that BB creams hold a special place in my heart. (F.I.L. B228918/2) My thoughts on Loreal BB C’est Magic On the bright side, the staying power surprised me. Even on long days, it managed to hold up well without slipping off my face. So kudos for that! When I was looking at this product before buying it. A lot of people were saying that the color is rather dark. I decided to go for medium light, since I felt that is normally what I need. I also have yellow undertones so I do expect this shade to be right for me. The BB cream is super liquid and lightweight, so it is easy to get too much product out. But just bare that in mind when squeezing the tube. Sadly it is really strongly scented. And it smells perfumy, which is really something I hate. The scent does linger for quite some time on my skin as well. I also have super dry skin. And I really mean super dry. There are not many products that can make my skin feel amazing all day. And I don’t expect this one to do so either.

But fear not, full coverage lovers, because BB creams do come in various formulations, some of which will deliver just as much coverage as any good ol' foundation. Of course, there's also options with buildable and lightweight coverage that will give you that “your-skin-but-better” finish.G2025337 - Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Isododecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Isoeicosane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Phenoxyethanol, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Boron Nitride, Sodium Chloride, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Hexyl Laurate, Isosteary L Neopentanoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Methylparaben, Parfum / Fragrance, Triethyl Citrate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Tocopherol, Panthenol, Perfluorooctyl Triethoxysilane, Limonene, Ficus Carica Fruit/Leaf Extract - Fig Fruit/Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate [+/- May Contain: Ci 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 / Iron Oxides]. (F.I.L. B228918/2). My skin is quite good, I don’t have acne or scars. But I do have some discolorations due to sun, and redness, and wrinkles. So for me a natural look just suits me better. If there is some redness or uneven skin that shows threw, I simply don’t care. If my skin were to look flawless I simple would not like the look.

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS. BB creams are ideal for creating a more natural-looking base or for those days when you don't feel like wearing a full face of makeup. They're made to provide you with just enough coverage to even out your skin tone, but not so much they mask your skin entirely. And the best part is that thanks to nourishing skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin, they'll keep your face hydrated throughout the day, making it look glowy and feel extra fresh for longer. Not my shade, but decent formula [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, so here's my take on this BB cream – it's a bit of a mixed bag, but not all bad. Now, the downside is that the shade was a tad too light for my skin tone. I ended up looking a bit washed out, so I've passed it along to a friend.

When you first squeeze the product out, it is white. But as soon as you apply it to your face it turns into skin color. When you have a product like this you really need to apply it with your fingers and not a brush or a sponge. This due to that the warmth of you hands simply activates the color pigments in the cream. As a color match it is ok, but it is a little dark on my skin. During the summer time it matches me great but during winter I will have to use a lighter shade to get it to work.

More recently, my heart's been set on the newly launched Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm. Seriously, this might just be my top beauty find in 2023 and is definitely something that I'll reach for in the coming summer months. Why? Long story short, it's the perfect combination of everything I want from a lightweight complexion makeup product: it feels like skincare, yet provides just enough coverage to cover my redness with an added SPF50 protection as a bonus. The way its unique colour-changing formula adapts to your skin tone is very impressive, too.
