I absolutely loved this book. I have only read a handful of books by these authors, but they have a fan forever. Even though the book is part of a series, if like me , you have only read a couple of other stories in this series, it is definitely a stand alone. Not only are the plot and the characters well developed but the story is heartbreaking, heartwarming and there are moments when you will shed a tear or two. When a book moves you to feel all these emotions, you know you have found a winner. I will have you know, young man, there’s nothing wrong with my eyes,’ she snapped. ‘I just need longer arms.’ Evan Bishop has always believed in love and he thought that he was going to end up marrying the woman he had loved since childhood. When she rolls into town to tell him that she's not only marrying someone else, but is pregnant to boot, he knows that he has no choice to move on. He's got some extra time on his hands due to an injury he suffered at work, so when he's asked to consult on Kyle Austen Reed's latest movie, he wants to say no, but doesn't once he gets a look at the lead actress. Not everything was easy for this pair but they were determined to make their relationship their own. He wasn't sure how to do that until he saw a dark haired beauty who immediately captured his attention. Nikki Maguire has always lived by her own set of rules. She loves travelling for her job and doe snot see herself settling down any time soon. Senator Michael Gowan lives under a microscope and every move he makes is heavily scrutinized. Mike has no interest in love, he doesn’t even believe it exists. Both grounded by a snowstorm, they share an anonymous night of passion and connection, both finding what their souls have been missing. They must both prioritize and come to term with personal issues they have been putting off or been ignorantly aware of.
Oh my!! I don’t know how the amazing duo of Melanie Shawn is able to write a better, improved, and sexy story than their previous book, but they did it with Fire and Temptation, book 16 in their Hope Fall series which I just loved. Hot shot fire fighter Evan keeps his thoughts and feelings to himself. After getting injured during the last major fire he is at loose ends. The girl he’s loved since middle school is engaged to and pregnant by another man. After being tapped by Kyle Austin Reed to help give technical advice for a film Evan meets the actress Shayne Fox. If love at first sight is possible, then these two have it in spades. As these two spend time together they open to each other, telling things they had never told anyone else. The electricity and chemistry between these two could supply Hope Falls with years of energy. These two are perfect for each other. Evan is the first guy who aroused sexual feelings in Shayne. Evan finally understands that look guys in Hope Falls get when they talk about their wives. There’s so much more to this story that I would spoil it saying more that Evan is my new book boyfriend.Prepare for tears, tears from the hardships all the way to the happiest moments in life. There are tears of loss and tears of healing, with lots of smiles and even belly laughs in between because life is unpredictable, filled with surprises no one can expect. The smoothly flowing tale will capture your mind, the characters will make you fall in love with them, and you will be living each moment, right there, with them, with your emotions churning and the anticipation high. Just the typical visit to Hope Falls, if you ask me, cause I am in love with the series where each story is fresh and anew Her voice sounded like the movies of my childhood: rich and deep, with the smokiness of a good scotch. She dripped it over you teasingly, and I loved it.

The ending was perfect for this family however you won't get through the last few chapters without crying. You might need a tissue or two but it was worth it. In a world going so wrong, here is a lovely romance to make us feel hopeful and the belief that the good outweighs the bad.
