About this deal

It certainly helps smooth the way for a good, relaxing and productive call if you have a decent headset. Something that puts your voice across clearly and lets you hear others with equal clarity. Whether you find yourself in roles such as sales, marketing, project management, or operations, your setup just got a whole lot more enjoyable: Also worth mentioning is the reliability of the Bluetooth 5 connection, which allowed us to wander around the house, including into different rooms out of line of sight with the host device, without dropping the connection. Are you a photographer, a designer, or a content creator immersed in the fast-paced world of production? We understand that your workflow needs to be swift and seamless, which is precisely why we've tailored JBuds keyboards and mice to cater to your needs.

And when it comes to managing your playlist & zoom calls, the JBuds Keyboard has you covered with dedicated functions: The control features are very simple. On your right earpiece, the power button can also be used to play and pause your audio, answer and hang up calls, reject calls, activate mobile assistants like Siri or Google and connect to Bluetooth. You can also monitor your own microphone with this one button. “The sound quality of the Go Work Wireless Headset itself is also very good for the price.” However, better voice quality with a very clear presentation on both sides can be achieved in wired mode. Although the headset cannot be controlled via the cable, the microphone technology and the red LED for muting are still active, using battery capacity. Sound

The headset works either wirelessly via Bluetooth - with an estimated 45 hours of uptime from a single charge - or wired via the included USB-C to 3.5mm cable for unlimited runtime. Characteristic of the JLab Go Work’s music mode is a treble-rich reproduction with a bright rather than dark sound image, which does not seem cold or sterile, as basic warmth is present. In modern music styles, the round, compact bass reproduction is pretty powerful and quite well defined, although the imaging does not reach down to the lowest regions. The mid-range reproduction is also appealingly precise, skilfully revealing details such as grabbing noises and rendering voices present and intelligible. However, one weak point of the tuning is the treble reproduction, which seems quite energetic at first, but falls off in the upper regions. Sibilants, in particular, tend to be overdone, which can be perceived as sharp above medium volume levels. The headset can connect to PC, Mac, phone or tablet and supports Bluetooth multipoint, meaning you can be connected to any two devices simultaneously and move seamlessly between them.

One caveat with the headset might be that if you have a particularly large head (e.g. hat sizes 7.5 and up), you will be at the outer limits of how accommodating you can make it. The arms extend to a fixed length, which does come up a little shorter than many professional headphones. As it happens, this writer has a reasonably large head and the Go Work headset fitted just fine, albeit at the maximum arm extension. They’ve got raised touch controls built into the logo on the outside of each bud, which means you’re less likely to accidentally pause your music when adjusting an earbud. It's also great that they come with a real IP rating, which means you don't have to think twice before wiping them down after a long workout. For example, the JLab Air Sport are in our Best Workout Earbuds guide—competing with the pricier Beats Solo Pro ( 8/10, WIRED Recommends). JLab even makes golf-tee-style buds that outperform the AirPods for less. But unlike its other wirefree models, the new Go Air feature a more original design. The little rectangular buds are the smallest the company has ever made, and they are among the lightest and most comfortable I’ve tested. The thing I love most about the Go Air is how little stress I feel taking them with me everywhere. I’m often fumbling around with expensive buds from big-name brands, and I do still get a bit anxious taking them with me around town. They’re so small, I worry I’ll leave the case somewhere or drop one on the sidewalk. The headset supports Bluetooth standard 5.0 and offered a high range of 15 metres within an urban environment while also bridging several rooms with stability. The JLab Go Work are paired by pressing and holding the multifunction button on the right side, which switches the system on and puts it into pairing mode. Multipoint connections with two devices are possible, allowing, for example, a laptop and a smartphone to be connected at the same time. The JLab Go Work is characterised by an extremely long-lasting lithium-polymer battery, which means that the headset only requires an external power source after a good 47 hours at higher volume levels. A complete charging process via the USB-C port takes two hours and 40 minutes, for which a corresponding USB-C to USB-A charging cable is included. These on-ears can also be used wirelessly during charging, which means that the headset can theoretically be used at any time. However, this is not possible with the included charging cable, as the length of 55 centimetres is definitely too short.
