For those who don’t know who TriPollar are, they’re one of the biggest anti-ageing brands in the world. Radio frequency was a technology that was previously used in salons, TriPollar have created devices for both the face and body that allow you to create professional level aesthetic results at home. Most famous for their radio frequency devices such as the TriPollar STOP (for the face) and TriPollar POSE (for the body), the brand have harnessed the same technology in the all-new pint-sized TriPollar STOP Eye device. This review tests the two Tripollar STOP VX models; VX, and VX Gold edition. A newer STOP VX Gold 2 & VX 2 are now available. What is it?Start on LOW to see how you find the DMA sensation. The RF mode feels like a warm sensation on the skin, though if you’re sensitive to heat you might find it uncomfortable. I actually find it relaxing! But the DMA mode will hurt – like someone snapping rubber bands constantly on your skin. As you go from low to high mode the heat/pain will increase as well. Finally move the device from the corner of your nose (top of your nasolabial folds) along the bottom of your cheek bones, slightly pushing upward. This is to help lift and plump the apple of your cheeks. Repeat 10-20 times.
After 8 weeks of using the STOP, I still have healthy, supple, smooth, bright and hydrated skin and my pores still look small. It smoothed out a few bumps and imperfections on my forehead and softened my scar too. Result. Other than the color, the design for the Stop Vx and Stop X are identical. Tripollar Stop Vx vs NuFACE The DMA mode feels quite different to the soothing RF, so let’s cover this next. What does it feel like? Two sponsored studies saw good anti-aging results from using DMA + RF, but another study on cellulite and stomach circumference deduction only saw results from RF. From RF mode, press the power button again until the indicator lights show one blue light for LOW RF and DMA mode. Press it again for HIGH. Press the power button to select LOW and then HIGH RF & DMA mode Although most feel plump and smooth skin immediately after a session, you must allow at least 6 weeks to see noticeable results. It’s during the first 6 to 8 weeks of concentrated use that your collagen and elastin gradually rebuild and strengthen, to tighten and rejuvenate your skin.
The device has two intesnity levels, just like the TriPollar STOP, and you’ll need to use it with the TriPollar Preparation Balm. Specifically formulated to be used on delicate skin with the TriPollar STOP Eye Renewal Device, it optimises your treatment by effectively conducting the Radio Frequency power through to the deeper levels of the skin. These Tripollar VX models also have a special mode for use on the jawline. It’s called Dynamic Muscle Activation (DMA) or ELV in the US models. It works alongside the RF and sends a mini-Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) pulse down to your SMAS layer facial muscles (below the dermis and hypodermis) where it causes small contractions.Tripollar says DMA strengthens muscles to build volume and tone and works with the RF to enhance lift and contouring along your jawline. Phew! I’m buzzing that my jawline and under-chin sag is a bit tighter! It’s still not perfect, but I’m impressed! 🥳 I don’t see any change in my forehead lines. But my lower cheeks feel fuller, and my under-eye feels a little plumper. But the skin is still rather crêpey with several fine lines. But who cares because…This is versus the single RF frequency in the older Tripollar models. This creates comparatively less heat in your dermis, and so is slower to treat your skin. But it still works. We do not recommend use of our devices if you have had any surgical procedure, laser resurfacing or deep chemical peeling within the treatment area within the past three months or are still undergoing a process to complete healing.
