About this deal

Portable music player, etc. Adjust the volume on the connected device. SD card Use an SD card to save loops and increase loop recording time.

I did my experiment using the simulation of the dbx160 (160 comp) as the parallel-processed effect. Curiosity is satisfied, but I probably won't ever NEED TO use this method....which is a GOOD thing. No matter what type of gig, recording session or rehearsal you're called to, you can always be ready with the Zoom B6. Featuring four play modes, you can modify how you use the Zoom B6 depending on the call you get for your next gig! Switchable via the dedicated stomp switch, you can choose between Effect Board, Bank/Patch, Memory and Looper modes.Amp models, preamps and drives all sound improved: detail, depth, realism, feel. Things getting more realer. Some nice new additions to the preamps and amps that didn't exist on the B3n. Also will be experimenting with loops, to see if they can be saved via SD card and recalled on a patch-by-patch basis. Some of the new features look tasty. I'll be trying out the Send/Return feature to see if I can create rigged-up parallel dry path to the effects path. Wow, things have moved on since I last had a multi fx unit. There are all the standard presets to show you what it can do, most are useable but some are a bit “fun”. The real depth is when you get in and effectively build multiple pedal boards per bank. The IRs are really good, there probably are better ones out there but they’ll do for me. If I have to moan, the compressors are a bit hit and miss as there’s no indication of the amount of gain reduction being achieved. Yeah yeah use your ears, I know, but it would be nice to be able to dial that in. A multi-effects pedal for bassists made by bassists, the Zoom B6 is a bass Multi-Effects Processor that's been articulately crafted to meet the needs of professional players at shows or recording sessions.

The contents of this document and the specifications of the product could be changed without notice. Touch Screen Usability: Consisting of a 4.3" colour LCD touch-screen interface, setting up, selecting or adjusting your tones is made simple and fast. Zoom B6 Bass Multi-Effects Processor Specifications: The four Effect footswitches along the bottom of the unit change their function according to the current Play Mode. Here, in Effect Board mode, the lower four footswitches engage and bypass four of the current patch’s six stompbox models. The B6 is very much larger and very much more capable than the B3 and its successor, the B3n. For a start, where the B3n offers a total of 67 individual ‘stompbox’‑style effects or amp models (each one of course separately configurable), the B6 offers around 115. And whereas the B3n enabled each patch to be built from a chain of up to three effects, the B6 accommodates six. But that’s just the beginning of the B6 story; there’s much more to it than just effects count and patch chain length. Probably the easiest way to begin to explain all there is to play with (and there is a lot) is to describe its physical format, so that’s what I’ll do. Premium FX: Continuing to push the boundaries of effects, the Zoom B6 comes with an impressive range of modelled classic and boutique stompboxes and hardware.I didn't compare it with Line 6 to be fair. I chose it in preference to a variety of other multi effects because it has the effects I like and none of the others had all of them. It doesn't restrict me to one of each type of effect as some others do, it doesn't do parallel but the effects all seem to have mix options so that's fine, I know and like the brand. Oh and of four Line 6 products I've owned two have broken on me. None of my Zooms ever has. In Effect Board mode, you are given a visual representation of your signal path whereby each of the six simultaneous effects will be assigned to a stomp you can switch on and off within your chain. This will be home base for many players as it gives you immediate access to different effects within your chain to punch in or out depending on the needs of the song. Even though it would eat up 2 slots, it would be great if it worked, to be able to have the ability to wet/dry mix between 4 other effects - mainly OD and compression.

IMO, pretty much everything about the B6 is a better than the B3n. Unless you're fully wedded to the WYSIWYG stomp switches and knobs legacy design (in which case the G11 would suit you better...for a jump in cost), there's almost nothing I prefer on the B3n vs. the B6. B3n is smaller, if that matters. Both require a little tap-dancing to switch their "play modes" from stomp mode to bank/patch to memory. This could be improved for the B6. Elsewhere on the B6 you’ll find an onboard SD/SDX card slot for recording and an integrated USB audio interface to record straight to your DAW of choice. There is also an external expression pedal input, plus an optional Bluetooth BTA-1 expansion port for wireless control of the B6 unit via the dedicated Guitar Lab app and the obligatory effects loop, which allows you to integrate your favourite pedals. Price Our new analog circuit, combined with the DI section vastly improves the low-frequencies of your instrument. With an 88.2 kHz effects processor, double the rate of others, the B6 has your high end covered. We meticulously modeled four iconic DI boxes to give you a wide variety of tonal options.. FEATURES Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty The recommended retail price is EUR 534.31, so hopefully the street price will be under EUR 500. There is a lot on offer here, and it looks as though Zoom has included all the basics and more. Gigging bass players and home users alike are sure to appreciate this new bass multi-effects processor from Zoom. More Information on ZoomEase of use. With all modern tech one expects a learning curve. I managed to scroll through various boards and patches, alter effect parameters, set up my own board, rename it and promptly save a different board over it by accident. All in about 20 minutes working from the pedal not the computer software. The available effect types include various bass effects and amp/cabinet simulation models. Effects can be selected from these types to be added to patch memories. Category slots maximum, with 4 switches maximum. If I want to load up all 6 slots with effects, I'll only be able to switch 4 of them on/off. I could really use 2 more slots and 2 more switches. Oh well.

Maximum output level: Line +11.4 dBu (when 10 kΩ or more output impedance)/Phones 24 mW + 24 mW (32 Ω load) And speaking of loop time, the B6 can accommodate up to 90 seconds in mono and 45 seconds in stereo (while instrument inputs to the B6 are of course mono, the aux input and some effects generate a stereo output). Loops can be positioned in the signal chain either before or after the B6 patch currently selected when Looper mode is engaged. New phrases can be overdubbed on existing loops, and effects patches can be changed while an existing loop is playing — both of which features potentially inspire quite mind‑boggling creative possibilities. And along with the combination of loops and effect patches, the B6 also enables its stored rhythm patterns to be played‑in.As mentioned earlier, you can chain up to 6 effects, which includes the amp emulations. And Zoom has included a wealth of studio-quality effects and stompbox emulations for you to experiment with. Effects of note are the onboard synth bass, synth vocal bass and analogue style octave. Notable amp emulations include the Sunn (Sun CB) and the Polytone Combo, which is popular with double bass players.
