There are two main contenders in this department… Rekordbox (for the Pioneer controllers), and Engine for the rest. It also supports full control of Serato if you do want to use it as a DJ controller (as of early 2022). Pioneer stepped out of its comfort zone with the OPUS-QUAD. Multiple innovations set it apart from other Pioneer offerings. Most notable is the unique design aesthetic. But beyond appearance, it is also one of the most comprehensive 4-channel standalone controllers available. While standalone software has come a long way it’s still playing catch up to the established DJ software powerhouses. Take some time to understand the limitations of the included standalone software.
