About this deal

I also impugn that natural law only accounts for what we know of the universe. Powers exist out there beyond our "natural" realm. Sentient beings control the scales of fate. They think they also have the means to control us but forget that gods are self-made. The Brays will be in the pantheon of the gods. The universe will bend to OUR will. There is no reason for our light to fade into nothingness. We can endure. We can become timeless. No matter how many buildings bear your name, or advancements you introduce, your time will end. You will become nothing, be nothing, and no one will know or care that you existed. The elder gods of the universe will pay you no mind. They have games to play that are more important than you. Imagine! As a collection, I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the books, and congratulations to Titan Books for treating the source material so sensitively. I was a tiny bit bummed that the first bit we get is the Book of Sorrows, the BoS is amazing and a really cool read but I was hoping for more of the stuff involving various odds and ends, a little more like earning the Grimoire Cards. I mean I suppose the beginning is debatable but in my head Oryx is so far into the story already that its seems weird to start there in my opinion. Otherwise though it makes sense as far as what bits of the grimoire fit together in something narrative. Bungie presents the Destiny Grimoire Anthology Vol I: Dark Mirror, a must-have collectible lore compendium designed and assembled for Destiny’s devoted and enlightened scholars and lore lovers, as well as fans of fantasy and science fiction storytelling.

The first volume of the Grimoire Anthology just touches the surface of the Destiny universe, but at the same time, it tells you a lot. I like the way they curated the stories for this first volume, you get to see the ascendance of the Hive, with Aurash, Sathona and Xi Ro all the way untill they become Oryx, Savathun and Xivu Arath. You get to know the origins of the Deep (Darkness) and of the Sky (Light), and it is written is SUCH A GOOD WAY, that you can't help but fall in love with the Hive God Trio, even with all the slaughter and power-thirstiness. Hell, you'll even ask yourself if the Light is really the "right" way.I keep watch on through the Cabal battlenet. He had continued to lead many successful campaigns against my people. Yet more interesting insights into the Destiny universe, accompanied by beautiful, evocative drawings. RECORD 167 - BRIDGE - 5.2" is the normal serif text typeface instead of the sans serif header typeface like the rest of the RECORDs. I don't often venture out into the world of videogame lore. In point of fact, I've only done it once before, and with the same developer. You have to look at this book from the lens of what it is, the lore of a video game. For that reason, this rating is less about the writing and story, because the people buying this book will already know it, and more about the book itself. This book covers lore from D1.

The book is divided into four chapters, reproducing 78 of the game's grimoire entries. The first, "A Book of Sorrow", transcribes the fifty-two verses of the Books of Sorrow. Chapter two, "The Burden of Light", tells the story of the encounters between Jaren Ward, Shin Malphur and Dredgen Yor by way of the Thorn and The Last Word entries (bar their fifth ghost fragments), Ghost Fragment: The Dark Age 2, and the four Rezyl Azzir entries. Chapter three, "Shadows Beyond", discusses the Shadows of Yor and comprises the ghost fragments for the Crucible arenas Blind Watch, Widow's Court, The Cauldron, Timekeeper and Cathedral of Dusk, as well as Shadows of Yor and the missing Thorn and The Last Word entries. The final chapter, "A Vacancy", includes the texts Oryx: Defeated, King's Fall, and a variation of Touch of Malice that combines the original flavour text with a new body that may be intended to foreshadow the events of Shadowkeep. Each unique volume intends to illuminate a facet of the world, and the complete anthology will confirm and challenge players’ thoughts and assumptions on what it means to be a Guardian, offering new and differing perspectives on the cosmic war that rages between the Traveler and its ancient enemies. Destiny Grimoire Anthology, Volume V: Legions Adrift is a curated look at the history of one of humanity’s greatest enemies, and now perhaps, potential allies: the Cabal. These stories follow an ancient empire through a time of great change—from the hedonism of Emperor Calus to the ambition of Dominus Ghaul to the vision of Empress Caiatl. What does it mean to be Cabal—to eat the mountains and drink the seas? And with their homeworld lost, what will the Cabal become? Yet I am ostracized and labeled an extremist by the scientific community, and worse, by my family. Everything I have done has been in our family's name; to preserve our legacy and persevere over whatever may come. My distance and isolation are necessary to ensure I'm successful in my efforts. Failure is not an option. Either you see this now and understand me clearly, or you never will.

My House and I made our den at the edge of the system. We hoped to be as far from the war against humanity as possible. It's been so long since my life, my real life, before the light. I had no idea. Everything. I've tried to find out about myself has been covered up, redacted, and hidden from me. I thought I was a good person. I don't know what I am anymore. Hi y'all, I'm brand new to this server and new to Destiny Lore in general, so please forgive me if my question is dumb, or already has an answer. Until now, the myths, mysteries, and machinations of the Destiny universe were found hidden throughout the worlds – enticing threads that hinted at a greater tapestry. The Destiny Grimoire Anthology weaves tales from multiple sources together for the first time, casting new light on Destiny’s most legendary heroes, infamous villains, and their greatest moments of triumph and tragedy.
