Ich denke, es gibt wesentlich bessere Lampen was die Weißheit betrifft, wie die Sylvania zXe Gold mit etwa 4100 Kelvin oder die Silverstar zXE mit 3960 Kelvin. Da können auch nicht die Philips Crystal Vision mit ca. 3700 Kelvin oder die GE Nighthawk Sport mit 4200 Kelvin mithalten. Jedoch ist bei Halogenlampen immer der Fall: Je weißer das Licht, desto weniger Lichtausbeute. Es werden ja die Farben mit längeren Wellen fast zur Gänze durch Filter herausgefiltert, vor allem der Gelb- und Rotanteil, und das verringert die Lichtausbeute bei regennasser Fahrbahn beispielsweise deutlich. Es kommt aber halt auch immer darauf an, mit welchem Scheinwerfer man rumfährt. Da kann man noch so gute Leuchtmittel verbauen, irgendwann gibt auch der Scheinwerfer nicht mehr her. Ich könnte mir natürlich vorstellen, wenn man die Scheinwerfer tatsächlich so baut, dass die gesamte Lichtausbeute des Halogenlichtes durch eine Linse gestreut wird, ohne dass Lichtanteile verloren gehen würden, so hätte man keine Probleme bei der Lichtausbeute, auch nicht bei Halogenmitteln, aber es jedem recht machen geht auch nicht. When you consider how much of an increase to a standard halogen bulb the Night Breaker Unlimited is, it’s incredible that Osram have managed to improve on this with the Night Breaker Laser. Do you have such headlights, if so are these replacement lighbulbs, do I need making modification(s) ? The light produced by the Osram Night Breaker Unlimited is 110% more than a standard halogen gas filled bulb. This means that the beam length can be up to 35m longer than the average bulb. The coverage Philip describes is demonstrated in the graphic below which shows how the design of these headlight bulbs provides the driver with better visibility and allows significantly longer response times to the road ahead. The reason being: I have old set of knight breakers in the wife’s Megan and they have been in almost 5 years and still going strong! Well done osram the range keeps getting better and better. Yet to try the lazer as could not get H7 from my supplier but will give these a go when the two knight breaker unlimited give up. Might be waiting a while. Good bulbs good value why opt for more expensive phillips these are every bit as good.

Osram Nightbreakers: I fitted these a few months ago and they have transformed my night driving. On main beam they are about the same as my old bulbs (which were fine). But on today’s crowded roads I spend most of my time on dip, and the Osram’s have radically improved things. I can see so much further.
