I saw this book in a London bookstore recently and since I am collecting all the books written by Tolkien (since he is a favorite author of mine), I had to get a copy of this book. Having qualified from University of Cambridge in 1986 Mr Bliss trained in the North East and was appointed Consultant Surgeon at the Newcastle Hospitals in 2000 after completing a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the University of Sydney, Australia. He has supervised trainees from many countries for advanced endocrine surgical training including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysi and Oman in the last few years.

Their picnic is interrupted by the group, and their kitchen-garden is ravished by the bears.

Same as idle but with his head down, twitching very fast and frequently. He also bobs up and down a bit. During his studies, Mr Bliss received numerous awards such as the Walter Mercer Gold Medal for excellence during his trauma and orthopaedics training, an FRCS examination award and surgery honours for his work on his MB BS degree.

Nefarian Serpine was Mevolent's most trusted General during the great war. He masterminded the death of Skulduggery's wife and child, killing them in front of him, knowing that Skulduggery would get too angry to think properly. During the meeting Mr. Bliss informs Serpine that two Sancuary agents, Clement Gale and Alexander Slake, who had been monitoring him were found dead yesterday. Serpine lies, denying having anything to do with it, and Mr. Bliss leaves to catch and plane to London. Argeddion states that Lord Vile may have been able to kill him, due to his ferocity and "natural[ly] given darkness". Vile also managed to take on Kitana and her friends with Darquesse's help despite them having powers from Argeddion himself. Although it was said that Kitana alone was more powerful than Vile, his superior skill allowed him to fight the three at once.
