About this deal

Sometimes, the term "mini-MP" gets thrown around but really doesn't mean that. Hot Rod, however, is a legit mini Masterpiece. As Seen In Parks" Megatron was officially exclusive to Universal Studios, but was released (almost a year after he had been officially revealed) in Hasbro's Asian markets first. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the toy was only released exclusively to online retailers in the U.S. Matrix comparisons: Each Matrix here is different from each other, so you can't actually confuse them. Upper left is Hot Rod. Upper right is ER OP (less intense clear blue than Hot Rod). Lower left is AU OP (blue painted over smoke). Lower right is Netflix OP (smoke). STUDIO SERIES LEADER CLASS: Leader Class figures are 8.5-inch collectible action figures designed with specs and details to reflect the Transformers movie universe, now including The Transformers: The Movie!

There’s the second Masterpiece figure, MP-28, which was anything but, with its warped robot more proportions and car mode that wouldn’t roll. The two blasters are different from each other. The blue blast effects may attach to the forearm exhaust pipes or to the blasters (also shown in 1st pic). Hasbro has added more accessories to help make up for the Voyager price point. Some may still not like this, but I think the accessories add a lot to the figure and playability. For 2021's new product, Studio Series started to include characters from The Transformers: The Movie, in celebration of the film's 35th anniversary. These toys feature a separate numbering system in Hasbro markets that utilizes "86" before the number of the respective figure. The '86 figures follow the same style, scale and play pattern of those from the concurrent War for Cybertron Trilogy toylines, complete with Fire Blast effect compatibility and 5 mm ports that can support Weaponizers and Fossilizers. Studio Series has, until now, had the mission of creating best-possible figures of characters from the live-action Transformers movies, until the creation of the Studio Series 86 subline, which focused on doing the same for characters from the original 1986 film. Naturally, it made sense for the film’s main character to headline the affair. Since it looked to be the best attempt at the character yet, I just had to have one.

Hot Rod (aka Rodimus and Rodimus Prime) is a brash and slightly arrogant Autobot protector working closely with Sir Edmund Burton. [1] In the past, he was Bumblebee's brother-in-arms, as the two have fought in many battles together. Brave and patient, he has been undercover on Earth for a long time after having been assigned to watch over Viviane Wembly, who he has grown very fond of. Released as part of Walmart's Autobots Unite subline, The Last Knight Legion Class Hot Rod transforms from a robot into a fictionalized Lamborghini Centenario with an added spoiler. INCH SCALE AUTOBOT HOT ROD: Figure features vivid, movie-inspired deco, is highly articulated for posability and comes with a blaster accessory inspired by the film An easy way to do this is to first plug in the tabs here. Then the tabs under the spoiler become automatically aligned and easy to plug in. BIG SCREEN-INSPIRED: This 3.5-inch Autobot Wheelie figure is inspired by the character’s appearance in the 1986 film The Transformers: The MovieSTUDIO SERIES CORE CLASS: Core Class figures are 3.5-inch collectible action figures that allow fans to collect mini versions of iconic characters inspired by epic scenes from the Transformers movie universe, now including The Transformers: The Movie! As you can see, i already got visible stressmark on the top. I sanded the inner side of the hole with thinly cut sandpaper. Not wrong but I wouldn't expect an early sample to have the same plastic as the final product as it's still in testing phase. I just think it's still expected for early copies as they more often than not a massive gamble. ICONIC MODES: Figure features classic conversion between robot and van modes in 26 steps. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. For kids and adults ages 8 and up

While it has never been confirmed, the move to include 1986 characters in the Studio Series toyline after three years of continuous focus on the live-action films, was likely done to allow Hasbro and TakaraTomy to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the film, without stepping on the toes of the Beast Wars 25th anniversary, which was celebrated as a part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Evidence suggesting this is the inclusion of some of the film's main characters ( Cyclonus, Rodimus Prime and Galvatron) being sold in the concurrently-ran Kingdom toyline and the shared design aesthetics of the toys between both lines. ICONIC MODES: Figure features classic conversion between robot and Cybertronian car modes in 12 steps. For kids and adults ages 8 and up I like the mold but this thing really needs a premium finish version of itself or something cuz that paint job is ew When Bumblebee clashed with Soundwave, he put together a plan to take care of the Decepticon once and for all. A plan that somehow involved Hot Rod, who was present in the area. Bumblebee / Soundwave with Rodimus INCH SCALE AUTOBOT RATCHET: Figure features vivid, movie-inspired deco, is highly articulated for posabilityI find it dumb how he complains about plastic quality when the figure is a failed QC sample. Of course he cannot admit it but yeesh There was the Legends Deluxe (and the Titans Return Deluxe it was repainted from), the strongest entry so far. It was (and is) a fun toy with a lot of playability, but a fair amount of aesthetic issues, including a strange-looking robot mode in many ways. Hot Rod gets a proper figure and vehicle representation by way of his primary vehicle mode for the film, a licensed 2017 Lamborghini Centenario. No repurposed parts, no alt heads, just a true to form figure with phenomenal transformation and articulation. ICONIC MODES: Figure features classic conversion between robot and ambulance modes in 15 steps. For kids and adults ages 8 and up Nano Hollywood Rides Hot Rod was to be a small non-transforming die-cast car measuring approximately 1.65 inches long, similar to but less detailed than the 1/64 scaled replica.
