About this deal

Sergeant Stephanie King, while not the main focus of the book also had her own story line, and it was nothing short of heartbreaking. How she still managed to function and do her job properly, I don’t know, but I want to be just half as cool as she is!

I didn't really like either of the main two female characters, but I am not sure I was supposed to.The story doesn’t end after the verdict and Rachel Abbott takes the reader through yet more twists and turns which was brilliant. I hated Cleo from the get go and her character just got more infuriating as the story went on... especially with the situation with baby Lulu. She was controlling and vindictive, she didn't like ANYONE and she was annoying. But she made for such a good character to read! There is a feeling right through this book that everything is not quite what it seems but it was hard to say what that was. No spoilers but this should be an enormous hit when it published!

Mark’s first wife Mia died in a tragic accident which has left him in a dark place but Evie seems to be bringing him out of himself. One evening the police are called to the family home and find Mark dead and Evie injured, did she murder him or was it self defence? An engaging psychological thriller with a detailed courtroom section and a host of absorbing female antagonists and protagonists. The plot is twisty, and although I worked out Evie's secret in the last third of the book, I think this is the author' intention, so that the final dramatic chapters have maximum impact. A breathless tour-de-force that left me hungry for more... Psychological crime writing at its very best' Kate Rhodes

And So It Begins is a brilliant psychological thriller. If you are looking for lies, secrets, revenge and more twists than you can keep up with, then you are in for a treat. It was a little slow to start with, but for me this helped to build the story and it turned out to be a rollercoaster with a brilliant ending.

Kosh also turned down a request by Tharg and M'Ola to intervene regarding their son, Shon, when Dr. Stephen Franklin wished to operate on the boy against the parents' wishes. They had already been turned down by Ambassadors Londo Mollari and G'Kar and were desperate for help. M'Ola asked Kosh how he would feel if someone had operated on him without his consent, which prompted an idiomatic response from Kosh that regarded what had happened to him. [8]I loved how Evie was made out to be and then how her character morphed into a completely new person; a terrifyingly chilling one. She was so believable and likeable and the ending was so chilling that it gave me goosebumps. Set in Cornwall and opening with the murder of a well know local photographer Mark/Marcus found dead in bed with his partner, Evie. Most of the narrative takes place as she is put on trial for killing him.

Early in 2260, Lyta Alexander arrived on the station via Kosh's ship. After she explained that she had traveled to the Vorlon Homeworld, Lyta stated that she would be working for Kosh from then on. Kosh affirmed that. Lyta told the station crew she did not fear the Psi Corps and was confident that Kosh would protect her. Evie and Mark are a couple with an infant daughter. Mark's first wife died accidentally and he is now a wealthy photographer in a magnificent house overlooking the sea. All in the house is not as it appears though and the story of Evie and Mark unravels slowly and with great suspense. So It Begins” was first written about on Urban Dictionary in 2009, marking the ascension of the phrase into pop culture and internet lingo. It became a meme after a post on Reddit in 2013, on which a child was displayed, standing next to a pole, on a table. A disarmingly small first poem, “For the Book,” offers an exordium reminiscent of Roman playboy Catullus’s disclaimer in which he distinguished his “novum libellum,” or “new little book,” from the exhaustive tomes of historians...Unknown at the time, Kosh placed part of his consciousness inside Sheridan. Lyta Alexander, off station at the time of Kosh's death and not carrying any part of him, was the first to suspect that on a mission to engage a Shadow Vessel. Touching Sheridan directly, she had a vision of Kosh's death. [26] Post Death [ ] Genesis derives via Latin from the Greek gignesthai, meaning "to be born," and can refer to the origin or beginning of anything from a heavenly body to an idea. I can't say that I particularly liked any of the characters in the story and yet I was still compelled to read onward. There are really only two who, by the end of the story, I felt any kind of sympathy for, both of them ultimately victims in a dangerous and deadly game. This is such a twisted and thought provoking read, and the author managed to manipulate my emotions so brilliantly that I went from sympathy to anger in no time flat. She definitely threw in a good few red herrings, although along the way and whilst the ending was not particularly a surprise over all, she still managed to catch me unawares with an unexpected revelation. Mark’s sister Cleo wants to see Evie behind bars for murder, while a well known lawyer and women’s rights supporter wants to use this case to get public attention and help other women get the courage to come forward and get their justice. It was quite emotional, and frankly, I couldn’t help but sympathize with Cleo, even though she did come across a bit of an asshole from time to time. Her relationship with her brother was a tad bit questionable though. In the “bloody hell, lady, what’s wrong with you? Obsessed much?” sort of way.
