Apexel 100mm Macro Lens Kit Review: An Impressive Phone Add-On Apexel 100mm Macro Lens Kit Review: An Impressive Phone Add-On

Full transparency, I did attach the Apexel macro lens to the threaded mount on my BeastCage mounting system from BeastGrip to test out the lens on my iPhone 11 Pro which made using the lens a little easier. I have a bit of a vendetta against clip-on mounting systems. I did use the clip-on mount to attach the Apexel 100mm Macro Lens to my Google Pixel 4a with 5G, however, and was impressed with the design and usability of the mount. I was able to easily attach and remove the mount, and you can move the mounting plate around to make it optimal for your device. All in all, an impressive design that’s more impressive than any other clip-on mount I’ve ever used. Are There Other Macro Lenses for iPhone and Android? Photos with Phones Amaze yourself and your friends with the incredible magnification this lens adds to your phone camera! This lens is ideal for people new to macro photography, and an easy way to experiment. You will reveal close-up detail in the world around you. Overall, I was very impressed with the thought that went into the design of this macro lens and phone mount. The images appear sharp, and the device was easy to work with. The transparent layer circled, thoughtful design for 24X Super Macro lens, to fix the distance when captured tiny things. There is a video that I made all about this lens from Apexel. If you watch very closely you may see me having fun. I was having fun communing with a dragonfly that thought I looked mighty tasty. By the time I had to tear myself away, I had bonded with the dragonfly, just like that crazy dude in the movie did with an octopus. The dragonfly, however, had not bonded with me, but wanted to eat me more than ever. You don’t have an experience like that as a woodworking enthusiast, or a scrapbooker. Then again, we don’t often get to chop our fingers off or be responsible for a grandchild aspirating a fist full of tiny plastic libraries. I suppose it all comes out in the wash. Probably most users will not have the problems I have with my shaky hands. But, this time, I could mount the adaptor and the phone in its grip on a tripod. Even the mounting plate helped me as a small grip in my hand-held experiments. Macro photography on a traditional camera requires an additional lens that isn’t intuitive to use. A mobile macro lens, on the other hand, is inexplicably easy to use. It is literally as simple as twisting the lens into place and hitting the shutter button.

APEXEL Professional Macro Photography Lens for Smartphone

This adaptor is built around a grip that latches on two sides of the phone with a sliding rectangular lens mount. The grip is quite robust and available separately if you want. They also provide foam padding if you want to use it. That may make it level and stronger, but I was fine without them. It is worth noting that all their lenses fit on the same grip or clip as they call it. The kit I received, Apexel 100mm Macro Lens Kit, is different from what I thought I would receive. In the pictures below, you see the adaptor mounted on my phone, a Samsung S22, and some with the Arca-Swiss plate to mount the gear on my tripod. Apexel 100mm Macro Lens Kit Just because this is an inexpensive phone lens doesn’t mean you can get sloppy. Nope - you still need to have plenty of light, as little movement as possible, and some idea of what you you are photographing. But take care of those basics and this lens will deliver some impressive performance. You can’t compare the best clip-on phone lens to any macro lens for use on a real camera because no matter how nice the lens is it is still taking a photograph on a cellphone - and that imposes some hard limits in any photography, but particularly in the world of macro. It makes more sense to ask what you are using this images for. I actually publish a large number of iPhone pictures every week, because it is my go-to method for capturing all the snapshots I use in my videos every week. And they are important to me. And this lens is a great tool for me to get the kind of quality images that you have come to expect.Did you know that the inspiration behind the night vision goggles' ability to work in total darkness comes from o...
