About this deal

There are times where the ease and safety of preparing formula in advance make it a winning choice. If your baby is going to stay with a friend or relative who doesn’t know how to mix formula, you’ll probably feel better doing it yourself in advance. If you are worried you might make a mixing mistake in the middle of the night when you’re tired, it might make more sense to get that formula ready when you’re wide awake and store it in the fridge for later. If you’re working from home and just want the convenience of ready made, this once a day mixing is so much easier than once every few hours. The unique design of Dr. Brown’s natural flow bottles is a lifesaver for parents of fussy babies who seem uncomfortable after eating. The internal vent system in these bottles reduces air bubbles and the slow flow nipples ensure your baby gets just the right amount of milk. Must-know details: Great for those half-asleep nights, busy mornings and all day honestly! With other kiddos, work and life sometimes it’s easier to get a gadget that helps.” —Walmart.com review Keep in mind: The views expressed in community are solely the opinions of participants, and do not reflect those of What to Expect. I did the pitcher method and it was SO helpful. I bought 2 pitchers, and essentially whatever I pumped that day was the next day’s milk. So I pumped, put caps on the bottles that I pumped into and just popped those into the fridge to cool down to fridge temperature. Then whenever I had a a minute and the bottles were cool, I would just swirl them and then dump them into the pitcher. At the end of the day, I would fill up all of the next days bottles and leave them in the fridge. So all of the bottles for the next day were made and waiting in the fridge. Then I would put an leftover milk from the pitcher into freezer bags and then wash the pitcher. Since I was filling up the pitchers a day ahead, this always worked really easily. So, to make it more clear, at the end of each day, in the fridge I had all of the baby bottles filled for the next day and an empty and cleaned pitcher ready to fill up throughout the next day. This was easiest for me because I could do all of the bottle filling and pitcher cleaning after the baby went down to sleep, and had all the bottles done for the next day and a clean pitcher ready to go before going to sleep myself. Easy measuring: Allows you to pour the exact amount of formula you need for each bottle (great for babies who drink an odd # of ounces or babies who have a different amount each time!). This Dr. Brown Formula Shaker Pitcher is perfect for making formula milk. This jug works great throughout the day. It is easy to use, just add water and the amount of formula for the number of bottles you want to prepare and press the handle to stir. This technique helps remove air bubbles and makes the formula great for my kids. You do not feel gas or burp after drinking this formula. I highly recommend it!” —Walmart.com review Keep in mind: Should a formula pitcher be on your must-have list? Or is it just another gadget that you can get by without? My little guy is only 1 month and my pump schedule is similar to yours, I produce about 30 oz a day but I wonder if that will be enough long term.
