I love to read and write about hot, filthy talking alphas that would burn the world down for the women they love. Starts with an arranged marriage taking place. I kind of feel like I stepped into the middle of this book 😬… but it’s not some big mystery, which makes it easy to follow. Nutshell: She hates him but is hot for him / he hates her but is hot for her .. meets forced proximity of arranged marriage. As she gets to know this stranger, this powerful man, a gradual awareness comes over her that maybe he isn’t the total monster she has been led to believe he is. Their shared secrets of their pasts leads her to discover he may be an ordinary man and possibly worthy of her attention. I’m still swooning over Alejandro Montoya, he is going to steal your hearts and live in your memories as one of the best book boyfriends ever!!!!!

I was an ARC reviewer for the book Fierce King by author Sadie Kincaid. My review is based on my own opinions. But I am not just any woman. I am Alana Carmichael and I’m only here to save my father. I will not bow to any king. This book will never be finished. The writing is not good, the premise, story, or characters- it just wasn’t good. Alana is a good person, I like at least that about her. But I’m unable to fall into that because, even if it’s not from Alana’s perspective, the author is truly overdoing it with trying to depict Alana like “she’s not other girls” through Alejandro’s perspective. It ruins it. Like, we don’t need comparison for her to be a wonderful person that Alejandro didn’t expect. But alas, instead of showing us through beautiful language, plot and writing, that author finds the basic-est way to “prove” that Alana isn’t… A fantastic story, with characters that have soul and emotion, that isn't just all about the hot sexy, steaminess, although there is that in abundance too!!! He is fierce and unyielding. I should hate him. But, the way he looks at me makes me feel more alive than I’ve ever felt before, and his touch sets my skin on fire.

Ah! It’s like the author writes the action but never divulges into the emotions that may cause the action. So, as a reader, you just gotta trust she’s affected but you’ll never be able to actually feel it, how the heroine feels it. This book was hard to put down, I was totally engaged the whole time AND that ending has me asking all sorts of questions !!!!

Alana agreed to marry Alejandro to help her father out. she didn't like Alejandro one bit but as time goes on he is not what she believes he is.

All of Ms. Kincaid’s stories fill the romance story requirements very well with an abundance of HEA or HFN. In Sadie's books, the romance is fierce and often at the heart of the story. Characters like Ryan, who appears in several books including "Chicago Ruthless", are often found wrestling with their feelings while navigating treacherous situations. Yes, Sadie did. When her podcast failed, she decided to pivot and focus more on her writing, which led to her successful book series. How frugal of this Manhattan city girl! The ketchup gets me…lol, as if you don’t have a whole cook. But alas…
