About this deal

This layering becomes a little less distinct in His Dark Materials. The TV pulls every sound effect to the front of the mix causing the audio to sound a little messier – although, thankfully, not to the point of distraction. Connected smarts can be considered rather good. The A6G uses the latest version of Hisense’s own Vidaa smart platform, which is primarily designed to host streaming services. A quad-core processor keeps navigation reasonably responsive. There are many TVs, at all sorts of prices, which make us suggest you buy a soundbar. The Hisense A6G is a TV that makes us shout ‘BUY A SOUNDBAR’ at the tops of our voices. It’s fitted with an audio system of two full-range drivers powered by a total of 16 watts - and while Hisense may have been shooting for ‘smooth and inoffensive’ it’s actually ended up with ‘bland and uninvolving’. While the limited brightness and gamut coverage is to be expected at this price point, the poor HDR10 tone-mapping disappoints, marring an otherwise excellent picture performance for a budget TV.

Percentage luminance drop at 20 degree vertical angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output Thanks. Yeah I've seen that but it doesn't help as you've no idea what's actually on most of the channels. Would have been Five Stars but the door occasionally doesn't like closing. It has got better a time goes by but was a right pain at the start. Bought this one as great value, with the same tray arrangement as the much more expensive Miele. For instance there will be no programme details for any of the ITV channels. You go to one to view it and then now and next *may* display for it and some of the other ITV channels.Hisense is carving quite a niche for itself with well-specified yet affordable 4K HDR TVs. The A6G, reviewed here, may be unquestionably budget but it’s not boring. We uploaded the latest brightness measurements and uniformity photos for the Accelerated Longevity Test. The L5F is the second of two Laser TVs that have been introduced for 2022. This model takes advantage of an Ultra Short Throw Laser to produce a 4K Ultra HD image. Sound quality is poor and really needs to be hooked up to a soundbar. The remote control has a definite lag between a button push and it's response. Use Alexa via the Remote NOW app to control your TV with your voice, search across the VIDAA U platform or use any Alexa skills.

HDR support is rather impressive for a more affordable TV (all the main formats are listed) and there’s HDMI 2.1 support with eARC, ALLM and VRR available across the three HDMI inputs (eARC on HDMI 2). The Hisense A4G is a HD model, which we don’t see advertised as much in the age of 4K. The 32-inch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768, while the 40-inch has a 1080p Full HD display. Percentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output The upscaled 1080p image offers a smoother result and more detail than the upscaled SD version, but the image is slightly too grainy looking. Sound quality Its a great TV. Good picture quality and sound. The issue is the fan as it gets quite loud at times to spoil the viewing. Not sure if this is a fault or normal for this productThere are similar models available in the US, known as the A6GX Series TVs, but they're different because they use a different operating system. In Canada, this model is the Hisense A68G, and the results are also valid for it. As Hisense's lineup differs in other countries, the results aren't valid for any similarly-named models internationally. Size Found the actual rail is very cheap plastic collapsing when you put plates on them and the actual door seal on one side comes away every time. I pull out the tray to put the plates on very hard to read the instructions as they’re so small overall very disappointed doesn’t dry very well either. The A9G is Hisense’s first OLED since the O8B from 2019. There’s support for HDR10+ as well as Dolby Vision IQ, which uses the TV’s light sensor to automatically adapt the brightness and contrast of an image in accordance with the brightness of a room, so you can see every detail. AppNexus sets the anj cookie that contains data stating whether a cookie ID is synced with partners. While the Hisense A6G is a solid performer with SDR, it’s more of a mixed bag when it comes to HDR. For a start, it’s very dim for an HDR TV, with a peak brightness of around 300cd/m² on both a 10% window and full-field in Dynamic mode. In the more accurate Cinema mode, this luminance drops to 250cd/m² on both a 10% and a full-field pattern.
