You may also taste some additional sweetness if the pineapples in your rum were roasted or candied. Before the success of the Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy, pineapple rum was hardly a real concept. However, that would all change in the coming years, as several new producers started rolling out their own pineapple-inspired rums. So, what’s Pineapple Rum? Just like their Grande Reserve, Plantation Barbados 5 Years is produced from a blend of Barbadian rums, aged for three to four years in the tropical climate of Barbados.
