About this deal

Also, the Fuji is 2cm shorter, has a closer focus of 15cm (that seems to be popular), and has WR. I mean you're paying more to get more in return, in my opinion. Unfortunately not enough, I agree. However, based on our experience with the test transitions (it wasn't the first one really) suggests that the Fujinon remains better at f/1.4 and f/2. We'll see. Markus is planning some re-tests but this will take a while."

Fuji X Passion Sigma 30mm F1.4 – Never too late - Fuji X Passion

The second best take-away of this video is: there is no one, right answer. This is why I haves GAS. Coming from a guy who likes to shoot streets with 23mm and 35mm focal lengths, I am able to adapt the Sigma 30mm f1.4 very well. In these 2 weeks of loan, I do not find much of a challenge using this lens except for the above-mentioned issue. Fuji X-T3 . Sigma 30mmF1.4 @30mm . f/1.4 . 1/2700″ . ISO 160 . Post-edited Fuji themselves talked about the design of the 35mm 1.4 and how it wasn’t meant to be an MTF chart monster. Yes - it’s noisy. Not a video shooter so I don’t care. The AF is horrible on the oldest X cameras but decent on the latest ones.

The Viltrox AF 23mm F1.4 Z is one of a trio of fast primes for mirrorless APS-C Canon, Nikon, Sony and Fujifilm cameras

Its hard to keep making excuses when the Fuji just seems to hit much more often, which was sort of in line with my initial impressions of the Viltrox. Yes you can get nice results, but more often then not theres just something off. This was taken using f5 and 160 ISO. The autofocus is fast enough that I caught this while we were both walking. I will definitely be using it through the coming wedding season and I will keep my blog updated for any future developments. For me, I don't usually buy super fast primes, like 1.2's or 1.4's. f/1.8's or f/2's are more than plenty for what I do. But for an APS-C system, there may be some benefits to buying the super fast primes.... If Fuji extract 23mm F2 lens from X100V, it should not include leaf shutter parts because X-E4 built-in focal plane shutter.

Now there’s certainly nothing wrong with zooming in and looking around an image for the finer details, but it’s not something I personally do that much. However, this lens does come with some downsides. First, it does not has an aperture ring. Something that I do miss sometimes. Second, it is not a full weather resistant lens. It does not matter to me, but I think it is good to let the readers know. Left: Fuji X-T3 . Sigma 30mmF1.4 @30mm . f/1.4 . 1/700″ . ISO 160 . Post-edited Since 23mm F2 in X100V is pancake lens, just take it out, put in a WR body (a case similar to XF 27mm F2.8), then make it affordable compact kit lens for X-E4. Both of lenses seems to operate correctly for landscape. Any of you can put the link where to get the firmwares for the Fuji X-T4. Is any of you had success updating. I prefer not to update than updating and being in trouble.Since you have the 35mm f2 with you, I suggest you to keep it unless you need that extra stop of light. Maybe you should ask yourself is it worthy to upgrade? It is subjective to individual for IQ. If you are comparing to XF33mm f1.4, I will think you can upgrade to this lens. All those resolution comparisons you are doing are meaningless. They are shot with different cameras with a huge difference in pixel density. Got my copy of Viltrox 23mm and couldn't be happier. It is really sharp and colors look gorgeous. I don't have the Fuji 23mm 2.0 to compare, but it compares quite favorably to my 16-55 2.8 Fuji lens. I was debating between this and Fuji 23 2.0, but this is even cheaper than 2.0, and you get 1.4 to boot. Browsing through my images captured with the Viltrox AF 23mm f/1.4 XF I found them rather pleasing. That goes for images of English Bay as well as street photography. It’s at its worst at around f5.6. Unfortunately, if you are using the camera's built-in mic, this noise will be recorded. I've tested it with an external mic attached to the hot shoe too and although not as noticeable it is still heard between f5.6 to f16.

More demanding sensor" makes resolution numbers higher. So of course Viltrox has higher numbers in some cases. In the same time you show that Fujinons still have higher numbers in other cases despite lower resolution sensor which is pretty remarkable. Two words to describe it. Silent sniper. The focusing speed is surprisingly fast, accurate and completely silent. The word “completely” may sound too strong, but it is really silent, and the only sound I can hear is coming from my shutter. All thanks to the stepping motor that is equipped with the lens, this also means that this lens can be a wise choice for videographers to consider. Fuji X-E4 . Sigma 30mmF1.4 @30mm . f/4 . 1/160″ . Resolution is measured using edges, Siemens stars or other regular structures with íncreasing frequencies. Units like LW/PH, LP/PH, or Cycles per pixel are independent of the sensor size and the pixel pitch. This said, there are many people who make their decidions or place their comments based on the pros of each lens vs their needs. So both arguments were used, and a lot of times, when in reality you will either have better sharpness with more vigneting, or less vigneting without better sharpness. Not that buying a Fuji f2 or 1.4 is a mistake, it isn't, i have na 23mm f2 myself, its just that thinking about someone buying something that does the job cheaper then what we spent makes us angry...
