Six teenagers become friends when they spend time together at a camp, designed to help them explore their creativity. All of them are reunited decades later, some of them are successful, while some others are still struggling. This book beautifully explores the nature of envy, the roles of money, power, and class, and how all of these can change abruptly. Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling Goodreads- Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling friendship book

Many great tales have been centred on romantic love, from classic plays like Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet to modern day works of fiction like The Notebook. Of course, while these romance-filled stories are poignant, beautiful and will likely take up space on the shelf of any bookworm, they aren’t the only depiction of love to get lost in. While Harry Potter isn’t specifically a book about friendship, it is definitely a huge theme in the series. It follows the story of Harry, who learns about his magical abilities, and with the help of his friends Ron and Hermione, tries to thwart the forces of evil in the wizarding world. The author covers themes of friendship, love, and family throughout the series, and it’s amazing to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s friendship develop throughout the series. Not only will these books transport you to a magical world, they’ll also make you believe in the power of true friendship. Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom Goodreads- Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom friendship book Children's books are often built around the subject of friendship and through relating to the characters in stories and the issues they have, we can help reassure and comfort children that what they are experiencing, although often very upsetting, is normal and that things will, at some point, get better. Moving schools and being the new kidcan also present a challenge as children may have left good, solid friendships behind them and are now presented with a new area, new buildings to navigate and brand new friendships to forge.

So with that in mind J and I decided to make a Friendship Book. This is something that we can add to as he gets older with memories of his friends as he goes through life. What you need to make a Friendship book Both the book and the PowerPoint will help children identify who is a good friend and who is a bad friend. Books about friendship for EYFS/KS1 level contain lots of signs for children. These signs are there for them to independently choose who they’d like as a friend and who they wouldn’t, based on their characteristics. This will help them to weave more favourable character traits into their own personalities, so that they can become good friends, too! Even if you only have one good friend, it helps us to stay mentally and physically strong.Having a good friend allows us to deal with stress easier, make better choices in our lives and generally helps us to be happier.

J and I spent T’s nap time today looking through pictures on my computer of him with his friends and decided which ones to print off. Some friends we have more pictures of him with than others but whilst their names are still fresh in my memory it was worth printing them all off. J and I worked together selecting pictures of his friends to go into the bookWhen I remember my childhood I think about the friends that we had – I will get out my old photo’s and look at them – some of them I can tell you straight away who the friends with me are – others I have to ask my mum or dad and some none of us have a clue. I still have the photo’s and the memories that they conjure up but wish I knew. Starry-Eyed Stan Friendship Worksheet- What makes a good friend? This lovely worksheet encourages children to write one thing that makes a good friend in each of the octopus' tentacles. Once they're finished, children could colour in the octopus too.

We often forget that our pets are our best companions too! This list of books about friendship wouldn’t be complete without a story revolving around man’s best friend.
