After Soundwave had been outed as Horri-Bull's killer, Acid Storm led the manhunt for the outlier before he noticed Starscream sneaking around with the Decepticons asking the ex-chancellor to resume leadership of the faction. Endless Forever After giving a small speech and Nemesis had flown off, Starscream agreed and led the Decepticons away to draw up new plans. Unforgivable As Starscream outlined his plans to regroup with the scattered Decepticon cells, Acid Storm felt compelled to point out that they were holed up in Metrotitan's corpse which Starscream claimed made for a good metaphor. A planned-but-more-or-less-canceled redeco of Generation 2 Dreadwing, "Advanced Tactical Bomber" Megatron would have come with Starscream, a redeco of Dreadwing's partner Smokescreen. The pair can combine into the "flying wing" Advanced Tactical Bomber, while Starscream can detach to become a smaller solo jet, leaving Megatron to transform into a treaded tank mode. According the Toy Fair 1995 Transformers presentation, the toy's missiles are intended to glow in the dark.Like Gentei Ghost Starscream, Masterpiece Ghost Starscream is cast in light purple translucent plastic instead of just colorless clear plastic like the G1 Ghost Starscream figure. Both this release and all subsequent releases of the mold have a missing molded panel-line detail on the right wing hinge that is supposed to curve in towards the body of the jet. Making up the overwhelming bulk of the Decepticon forces, "Jetron" soldiers appear in vast numbers, swooping in from high altitude in jet mode to try and crash into the Autobots. If shot, they pause in midair to transform to robot mode, dropping to the ground and continuing their assault on foot. In robot mode, they are just a bit too short to be shot with robot-mode weaponry when on the same level as robot-mode Autobots, so hitting them in midair as they fall is the best bet to destroy them... or just use the momentary pause while they transform to slip by them, which is usually safer. Skywarp was slightly retooled from the earlier Starscream figures. The retool is present in the jet intake area. The slope of his shoulders was decreased from Starscream's, and a fifth rectangle was added to the vertical area. [3] Acid Storm isn't solid green in every shot of "Divide and Conquer"—in the monitor shot he first appears in, he has grey intakes and a green-grey upper chest that matches his helmet. Oddly enough, the intakes are one of the areas that were left the basic green on his Universe toy. This mold was also used for the Masterpiece version of Skywarp. It was also redecoed and retooled to create the eleventh Masterpiece figure, Starscream, which was then redecoed to create Sunstorm and Acid Storm. The Italian release of Starscream (as "Astrum") by GiG put him in a generic "Distructor Planes" box, featuring names and tech specs for all three planes in the assortment. A subsequent interview in Transformers Generations 2015 named Kobayashi as the designer of Ironhide, confirming him as the designer in question. Curiously, Skywarp is the only Basic Decepticon to have a Decepticon symbol on him... and it's the Generation 2 Decepticon symbol at that. Which is approporate given this mold was originally developed for Generation 2. This mold was redecoed to create Skywarp, Sunstorm and the Air Warrors in the Heroes of Cybertron line (see below), and retooled into Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet.

Alluding to the Beast Wars episode " Possession", Starscream is partnered with Waspinator, who can transform into a wasp, a robot with 3 mm-compatible hands, and a gun with 5mm handle. He has an autotransformation feature that folds up his wings when his gun barrel is extended. This figure was only released to test markets in Ohio, USA in very limited quantities. It was never available as a wide release. In the aftermath of this betrayal, many of the surviving Seekers from Vos joined the Autobots, becoming the Aerialbots. Jetfire was one notable Seeker who defected from the Decepticons to the Autobots, helping them exploit their own flight skills further. Sixshot brought forth the Rainmakers when the Decepticons journeyed out to the Sea of Rust. They had been alerted that Termagax was there, in possession of the Enigma of Combination.
