About this deal

Finding Grace” is K.L. Slater’s newest mystery suspense is quite compelling and twisted! It started out strong but petered out a little in the end as the storyline became a bit far-fetched. For those who like K.L. Slater, I think they will find this an enjoyable, easy read. So many emotions were going through my head I found myself screaming for Rose to get out you deserve better as for all characters as I said there wasn't one I didn't like, I have already put The Visitor on wish list its not released till March 2018 next year in Australia. Casssie warns her to stay away, she can see that hes manipulative and controlling, but Rose loves him, she can't see it. Full of unexpected twists and turns, you are drawn into Josie’s life and how intimidated she feels by Samual’s presence. It’s a completely believable story and that makes it even more frightening!

Rose Tinsley, who's lived in Newstead all her life, is the librarian at the Newstead Library - one of the smallest in Nottinghamshire County. This. Book. Is. Amazing. I dropped everything and read it in two sittings. It’s addictive, it’s dark and twisty, it’s deceitful, you think you’ve worked out what’s going on and nope… twisty again… Everyone needs to read this.’ Goodreads reviewer, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sixteen years ago, Rose made a mistake. She fell in love with a man who really wasn't the best choice for any woman, especially a young virginal teenager. Things seemed to happen to the people around her ... her friends, her family, her brother.I've known him all my life. I know he has taken my daughter. His mother says she can help me. But she's the last person I can trust... Rose is playing the blaming game with herself. Sixteen years ago her eight year old brother, Billy went missing while she was watching him. He was found dead and Rose is still asking herself what if.... This is exactly why you are in my top author Club K.L Slater and your book is one of the best psychological thrillers I have EVER READ!! Bring on the next one!!! I cannot wait!!! Here's to the next success 🥂 But Lucie harbours a terrible secret of her own. One that she has never shared with anyone, even Blake … Her father watched her go. The girls father the other end watched her arrive. Both doing this secretly

K.L. Slater is an awesome author and an auto-read for me, and while “Missing” is a solid thriller, it isn’t my favorite book from the talented Slater. While it’s plenty twisty and turny, I just couldn’t connect with Josie. I found her mental self-flagellation to be a bit repetitive, and I was annoyed at the repeated implication that focusing on her career somehow made her a bad mom. I was excited to see DI Helena Price again, who was a character in another of Slater’s books, and who I hope we see again in the future!

There was a lot of dialogue in this book, much of which didn't add any value. There were a few loose ends, unresolved that I, personally, would have liked to have seen explained. For one, the deaths of her parents. The fact that they are dead is mentioned several times. So that I began to think that it must be important in some way, to the story. But, nothing. Grace is only 34. Her parents were not old. What are the chances that both parents would be dead of natural causes? And the threatened closure of the library where Rose worked....a lot was made of this issue, but we never learn the outcome. It is probably not important, but damn it, I WANT TO KNOW! Up until the end, it was all pretty predictable. Rose’s past isn’t a pretty one. It has haunted her for the last sixteen years. When he was just eight-years old, her little brother Billy went missing. Days later he was found dead. Billy was everything to her. And she has never forgiven herself for his death. After all these years, the only person she has been able to trust is her friend and neighbor Ronnie. When he falls ill, she is beside herself – for he is all he has left. In preparing for his return home, she decides to clean his house and she finds something of Billy’s - something that makes her question everything.
